 TAG Heuer Men's CAH1113.BA0850 Formula 1 Chronograph Watch By: TAG Heuer Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 13 More Information Tag Heuer is Quality Watches  On: 2010-07-11First of all I have to say I didnt buy the watch on amazon, but I really wanted to review this watch. I collect watches and since five years ago I have been watching different watches and I really like Tag Heuer Watches, first because they offer quality watches at lower prices than other makes, second the watches are really complete when we talk about functions, for example this Tag Heuer Formula 1 offers 200m water resistance with screwed crown and caseback, sapphire crystal, unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 positions(clicks) offering better precision on time measurement and 1/10th second chronograph, making this one a very complete sports watch with the advantage that you can use it on a casual or formal occasion(of course the black dial fits better for the last one). I have been using this watch for 2 months and I dont have any negative comments, the sapphire crystal is clear as new, the rotating bezel doesnt have any scratch on it(after I hit with a wood chair and the chair has a big scratch on it), the chronograph works perfect, everything is fine as new. The quality of the finishes is incredible, all the indexes, sub dials, Tag Heuer logo, all the dial components are perfectly done. Other thing that deserves compliments is the Tag Heuer inscription on the left side of the case, is beatiful and the letters are perfectly done. If you want a quality watch at an "affordable" price this is an excelent watch. On the other hand the materials used on the crown and the roating bezel(titanium carbide coating) seems to be very scratch resistent. Another plus is the fact that the numbers on the bezel are not painted, they are made with stainless steel as the Tag Heuer logo on the crown. The last thing I have to say, its just my opinion, the stainless steel bracelet is the right choice, I have the rubber one too but Ive never used it. If you have the chance to go and see the watch on a retail store do it, believe me the pictures dont make justice to this watch, when I saw this picture I couldnt believe the difference, the watch is much more pretty than what you can see on the article picture. The price is really good but I bought it on a retail store because I wanted the 2 years International Tag Heuer Guarantee. Watch is OK, but got a wrong manual  On: 2010-06-09First of all, I bought this watch for my boyfriends birthday. I dont care too much if this is for myself as far as the watch is authentic and functions correctly. I have received the watch in a box, which carried a wrong owners manual. The manual booklet clearly said it was for "GRANDE-DATE" series. I thoroughly read the manual but didnt find the instructions for my watch at all. Now I dont know how to operate my watch completely (I needed to do some "guess" work), and what sucks is eventually Ill have to give this to my boyfriend without a correct manual. I searched the manual on internet. Some people on Youtube showed the authentic (correct) manual for this series.It completely looked different from mine. I talked to several Amazons customers reps. One lady insisted that Amazon sent me a correct manual without any doubts. Then, it means Amazon is sending out wrong manuals to everybody who bought this watch (Formula 1 Chronograph)? I only give 3 stars for this shopping experience due to the less than helpful Amazons customer service and their poor package. Yes, the watch itself was fine but remember this is a TAG watch, I didnt buy a cheap watch. This is a highend watch, which is supposed to come with the 100% complete package. Again, this will be a gift so especially the package is as important as the watch. As for Amazons shipping handling, my watch came in a carton box, where they put only a couple of air bags so the watch box was moving around inside the carton. Furthermore, when I opened up the watch box, my watch was also moving around in a cheap looking plastic Tag box. I was dissapointed with Amazons handling as well as the customer service. I am sure my boyfriend will look for the authensity of this watch. I will update on that here later. Excellent watch for the money On: 2010-05-12Ive owned this watch for a little over a year. Its a great watch for the money. I paid about $700 for it and dont think there is a better watch that that price point. Mine keeps time within 2 seconds a month and its a very durable and good looking time piece. Great experience! On: 2010-05-04I thought it would be too good to be true, but it is!!!! I would recommend this to anyone who is Worried about online shopping. They send you email confirmation, Then amazon sends you one! Its great! Took 2 extra days to get here with the overnight shipping but it was worth it! I will shop Amazon/jomashop again! Beautiful watch....but that's about it On: 2010-04-11I bought this one at close to retail over a year ago when it first came out. At first, I was impressed with its rugged good looks but then quality issues began to take away its appeal. First, the good: beautiful dial, sapphire crystal, nice rugged brushed ss bracelet. Cons: constant problems with movement. I had to send it in twice to fix major issues with chronograph, the bezel scratches easily, the clasp is ridiculously hard to open and the bracelet feels cheap in general. Overall, I was not impressed at all. I had to change the battery on it after only 5 months! I sold this about 8 months into buying it and bought a movado series 800 chrono. The Movafo blows the hell out of the Tag in quality! Whoever would have thought that!!? It seems like Tag is quickly diminishing in quality from what Ive heard so Im glad I got rid of it. I understand a lot of these people who invested in this watch are in denial and want to believe this is a high quality watch but it is not and you all know it! So skip this one and if youre looking for a nice quartz chrono try movado or victorinox. You will thank me Tag Heuer quality really shows, beautiful and durable. On: 2008-12-11I have had the watch for a couple of months now and I am very pleased. I love every aspect of the watch. The face shows stunning detail and expert craftsmanship. I would recommend this watch as an everyday timepiece. I wear mine to work and abused it a lot. It will take paint off the wall if your arm hits it. It will put a dent into whatever it comes in contact with. I was afraid it would not withstand a work environment but it passed with flying colors. Please note, the face appears white in the pictures but is actually silver. Top quality On: 2008-10-12This watch is sweet, Tag lives up to its reputation, good looking, very reliable, excellent craftsmanship, it is almost like wearing a piece of jewelry, received compliments already, pictures do not do the watch justice. Plus it is more adjustable than most bracelet watches. A purchase you will not regret. A lifetime watch!! Attention on Warranty On: 2007-11-30This watch is excellent. No Doubts about that. I like the red one (a little bit more expensive) But be attention! On Tags website they say that a watch bought on internet doesnt have warranty. That is the same annoucement of any reseller store. He is happy with it and so am I ! On: 2007-10-22I really wanted my husband to show off his fun side, and I got him this watch for his birthday. I know orange is really a bold choice, but it happens to work. This is really a nice watch with lots of personality. I like it a lot, is really unusual, and he likes it too, and I know he whould never have chosen it for himself but thats ok, he is happy with it and wears it all the time. this is a class watch On: 2007-09-26TAG HEUER FORMULA 1 MENS QUARTZ WATCH CAH1113.BT0714 this is a beautiful watch to look at ware,its just right waited,not two big or two small,its the same watch that Fernando Alonso Lewis Hamilton wares,iam a formula 1 fan ,and this watch makes me feel good when i ware it. Nice watch, first Tag for me!  On: 2007-09-09I saw the newly redesigned Tag Heuer Formula 1 advertised and liked the look. I found one locally and tried it on, liked it and purchased it. The details of the watch are well done. The face is nicely laid out and legible. You can do split times and lap times pretty easily although I still like a digital stop watch for this function. I like the main body of the watch - nice and chunky - well made. The strap is something else. It seems too lightly made for the watch itself. This is in comparison to my Omega Seamaster (which, in quartz version can be had for about $200 more) which has a band and clasp that are roughly 50% heavier made. It just feels much more substantial than the Tag band. The plus for the Tag band is the safety clasp which looks as if it will keep the Tag more secure if banged or jarred while doing any kind of active sports. Overall, I really like the watch. I do, however, think it is a bit overpriced compared to comparable quality watches. Great Watch! On: 2007-08-19this is my second tag watch. the orange face is really cool. its even cooler looking at night. although i must say that somehow the orange face makes its diameter look a little smaller than the black face ones, i think its the illusion the color orange makes. the best way is to go to a store and check it out yourself. im around 511 and athletic, and the size of this is big enough for me. great watch! TAG like no other!! On: 2007-07-14this is my second tag watch and i must say, im pretty impressed. i still cant believe i only paid under $1000 for something that feels and looks like it shouldve cost more. im a pretty big guy and the first thing i wanted to check is if its face is big enough for me. so i went to a store to try it on, its funny because i tried the black face too and somehow i think the orange color makes it look like its a tad smaller, in terms of the faces diameter, but its not. all in all, im happy with this purchase. this color is really cool! its even cooler looking at night when you have dinner with friends or for a dinner date. |
