 Jacques Lemans Men's Geneve Sigma Power Reserve Collection Watch #GU185A By: Jacques Lemans Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Brick and Mortar Is Still Best  On: 2008-03-15When it comes to really being able to evaluate a product, nothing on Amazon, or anywhere else on the internet, can replace walking into a "brick and mortar" retail store and seeing said product for yourself. Case in point: The Jacques Lemans Sigma. This watch is impressive, to be sure. The stainless steel shine is wonderful and the action of the mini second hand movement is very nice. Ergonomically, the watch just feels great; but it is way bigger than is looks online. Also, the "crocodile" imbossment lacks the proper sheen and it is over all unconvincing, even as a simulation. This watch is clearly more of a Sports Watch than a true "Dress" Watch, but you would never know that without looking at it up close. Over all, I do really enjoy this watch, but only on its own terms. I definitely had to readjust my expectations. Next time, Ill make the effort to walk into a jewlery store and see one up close, before I pull the trigger on one, real sight unseen. |
