![]() Invicta Swiss Automatic Pro Diver 2729 By: Invicta Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 3 More Information This is a great watch! I have been delighted by my watch! It has a quality feel and its keeping time very accurately. I have owned other automatic watches that have had less than stellar self winding. In other words, they frequently stopped. Not my Invicta. I take it off every night and when I put it on in the morning, I give my wrist a few deliberate twists and Im good to go, with normal movement, for the rest of the day. Outstanding quality and value! Aquire Knowlege of Products Mechanical wristwatches are the oldest but highly reliable form of time keeping. Yes, if you are a stickler for pinpoint accuracy, sure go for the "Quartz Movements". However, for constant reliability, and durability without the inconvenience of the old unexpectedly "Dead Battery", this is a great piece of equipment; I have three in different colors, for diving, fishing, and what ever the mood of the moment is. Therefore; investigate, and become educated of what you are getting into, for the accuracy of a Seiko Quartz Movement in a "Mechanical Automatic Wrist Watch" you must go to brands like a Rolex, Accutron, etc. etc. Be ready to dish out $1,500 and up. Very Disappointed This watch (Model No. 2729) is an Invicta Diver. The 8926 is ALSO an Invicta Diver. They look nearly identical. They are both "automatic", which means they are mechanical watches that self-wind through the movement of your arm while wearing them. This one comes with a Swiss-made "movement" (the gut of the watch). The 8926 comes with a Japanese movement. This one has 26 pieces of "jewels" inside serving as "ball bearings". The 8926 has 21 pieces of "jewels". This one costs close to $300 (at Amazon). The 8926 costs less than $100 (at Amazon). This one costs nearly three times the 8926. I purchased this one in March 2007. I did everything I should to make sure that the watch is properly wound. In a months time, the watch averaged 11 seconds slow in a 12-hour period. This translates to eleven minutes a month or two hours and 12 minutes a year!! In conclusion, if you want an accurate watch, buy a quartz or a Seiko Kinetic (same price or less); but if you prefer the looks of this watch, buy the 8926 at less than $100. I see no reason for buying this watch. Very Disappointed This watch (Model No. 2729) is an Invicta Diver. The 8926 is ALSO an Invicta Diver. They look nearly identical.
