 Luminox Men's EVO Steel SEAL Watch #6204 By: Luminox Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 3 More Information Heavy Metal!  On: 2008-05-24WOW, this watch is even more massive than my Seiko Mens "Black Monster" Automatic Dive Watch #SKX779K1! Very heavy, with a huge face, this watch domiantes ones wrist. The face is much larger than that on my Luminox Mens Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch #3013. The face is very easy to see in all lighting conditions, however please note that the watch face is MUCH darker that normally pictured. The magical radioactive gas filled tubes on the face, hands, and bezel are what really set of this watch (and every other Luminox!) apart, with a bright glow that never needs "recharging". The down side, of course, is that the glow will die out in about 25 years when the tritium is expended. Best of all, the quartz action is amazing accurate. Why did I rate it only 4 stars? Because I couldnt rate it at 4.99 stars! What holds it back from getting 5 stars? The lack of some features that a watch of this price SHOULD have like a day display and/or a magnifier over the date. Keep in mind two things that are intentionally missing from this watch, an automatic movement and a sweep second hand. This is intended to be a military watch...precise timing, ruggedness, and easy viewing are the most critical requirements of a military watch. Its cool to watch a sweep second hand gracefully make its way around a watch face, but when precise timing is required for a military op, you really want to see that solid "tick" as the second moves to each marker. An automatic movement, of the same precision would have made this watch way more expensive. An affordable automatic movement would also probably not have a hack function, which is required to precisely sync several watches. The one thing I dislike about this watch is that the bezel is almost impossible to turn. Please note that this might be specific to my watch, and not to the entire 6200 series. Deep Blue Face, Massive Steel Band.. a winner  On: 2008-05-08This is my second Luminox watch; first was a casual dive watch. The EVO 6204 goes far beyond in style, design, and beauty, great for business wear or diving your favorite wreck (200m water resistant). Pros; My former 20/16 vision is not as sharp as it used to be now that I am on the back side of 50.. This watch is readable without glasses at 03:00.. and in fine Luminox tradition, the face illumination could light a pathway on a zero illum night... The case and band is made of high grade stainless steel; this is a large watch, very impressive in every way... The face is a much deeper blue than the photo typically presents.. You will not be disappointed. Great Watch. On: 2006-08-06I love the watch. The Blue is very deep on the face. All in all a good buy. |
