It is a great looking watch and fits well on an 8 inch wrist. But thats about it. Within a few days of the initial setup, I noticed that the date wheel was not advancing. Thinking the problem may have something to do with the way I set the GMT hand, I re-set the date. The date worked correctly for approx. 3 days and then it stopped working again. This time, I adjusted the date manually using the pusher. The watch worked for one day and then the date stopped advancing again. This time I tried to advance the date by advancing the hour hand by using the pusher. The date would not adjust. I had to advance the minute hand to change the date. Since I live 60 miles from where I purchased the watch, I was not able to return it for repair for a copule of months. I brought it back to Tag Heuer in Woodbury and they forwarded the watch to their repair facility in NJ. They held the watch for three weeks and returned it. The repair invoice indicated the watch bracelet was scratched. However, I DID NOT SCRATCH IT. THEY DID! They also replaced the gaskets and did something with the movement. Afetr wearing the watch for two days, THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN as if NO repairs were performed. I called the repair facility and they apologized and sent Fed Ex to pick up the watch at their expense. I called yesterday for the status on the watch repair and was told the they have to replace the movement. Unfortunately, the movement is on backorder and it will take 2-8 weeks for the watch to be returned. At this rate, Tag Heuer repair will have had the watch longer than I have worn it. Due to this experience, I will NEVER purchase another Tag. Over $2000 down the drain!! |
