If this watch RETAILED for $100, it would be one of the worlds great watches. Im not very smart, so I own two of them ( this one, in red, and another with a blue face - both are called "original Navy Seal" models by Luminox, although they have different model numbers according to color and are, in fact, NOT identical ). Some of the things that other people have complained about are actually strengths for this product. The watchband has been derided by many as "cheap-looking" or being otherwise unsatisfactory. I love it. It is broad and just "sticky", or tacky, enough to stay-put on your wrist if worn loosely but not so bulky that it snags clothing if you wear it with long sleeves. Comfortable! Likewise the cheap 39 cent plastic case ( EXCUSE ME! "fiberglass-reinforced polymer" case ). It is lightweight and if you wear it for all of a nineteen-hour day, it is comfortable. Buyers should be aware that there are two types of faces on these watches. The face on my model 3015 red face watch is just about perfect. The tritium hour markers are big and set in windows which are angled about 45 degrees from the plane of the face. This maximizes readability in the dark. The supposedly similar blue - face model I have, has smaller hour markers which makes them appear much less bright at night, and they are set in windows which are parallel to the face but raised 2mm above it, resulting in parallex problems at night and annoying shadows in bright daylight. I dont think this is specific to color-models, but rather is random - you buy your watch through the internet and have a 50-50 chance of getting a particular type. BIG DIFFERENCE. As someone else has said, this watch is NOT impressive on your wrist. Its a cheap plastic watch. It IS quartz-accurate, but so is a $30 Timex - and the Timex will have a stainless steel case with a screw-in back, and maybe even a screw-down crown. Better yet, for $169.00, get an LLBean tritium field watch: no rotating diver bezel, but a better face, same night performance, stainless steel case with screw-in back, screw-down crown, a dressy Italian leather band, AND a WARRANTY.
