Dude, why dont you stop pasting the same story on every Tag Heuer model??? Sorry yours didnt work out for you but they make really nice watches. Its not a Chinese knock off and pretty reputable brand. They dont deserve these comments. Certainly not for every single model they make! You didnt leave a comment for 6000 model which is what you had. What gives???
I am not affiliated with Tag Heuer in any way, shape or form. Just ticked off by reading your same comment for almost all the Tag Heuers on Amazon.
Tag Heuer Chronographs - words of advice and caution
by: dmann23    On: 2007-03-07

This is a review of a Tag Heuer 6000 Chronometer Chronograph which is relevant since the 6000 and Carrera share the same movement. Tag did go to the extra expense of having my watch COSC certified.

The watch locked up competely two weeks past the warranty period. LVMH the Tag service center told me that it is now my watch and Tag would do nothing except charge me $340.00 to do maintenance on a two year old $4500 watch.

Am no stranger to mechinical watches own over a dozen including a 40+ year old Bulova with no problems until now. As a matter of fact Tanya, the service manager at LVMH, told me that Tag did not make a watch as good as the Bulova and no watch Tag makes should be expected to last that long.

IMO if you want to know what time it is buy a $19.95 special somewhere and chunck when the battery dies. Cheaper and more reliable than buying one of the most expensive watches Tag makes. If you must have an example of "fine Swiss watchmaking" on your wrist be prepared to spend over 300 bucks every couple of years.
