![]() Nike + Sport Armband for iPod Nano - Black/Atom Red - AC1126-088 By: Nike More Information Great for Athletes I bought this product for working out and I couldnt be happier with it. I found most armbands to be bulky and didnt feel as safe on my arm. The only down fall is that its hard to get on tight enough without someone strapping it on for you. I highly recommend this product for someone that works out and doesnt want anything bulky on their arm. Armband It is a good product for people who like to enjoy music while working out. It is very comfortable and practical. Secure comfort This armband feels like second skin, soft and comfortable. It holds the nano securely in place but like other reviews note, the screen isnt visible and taking it out midway during workout is cumbersome, so make sure your playlist is set, press play and then youre good to go. Note that armband fits larger arms so people with smaller arms might have trouble securing the velcro properly. Get the updated version I have used this version for a few months. Its makes it hard to use the Nike+ feature, because you cant see the screen. Mine stretched out quickly, from multiple times pulling my iPod in and out to start and stop the program. There are better models out there. Nike has tried to remedy the problem by putting out one with screen, to see the nanos screen and work it easier. I replaced mine with a Marware wrist holder for my iPod, with a space for the chip. I like it much better. Better products out there This is a comfortable armband once you get it on. Its not an easy one-handed operation since it doesnt have the reverse direction bracket, therefore you have to hold it and Velcro it on at the same time. Also, although I knew I wouldnt be able to see the screen while working out, it does make it difficult to set up for the Nike+iPod program, which makes the timer option of the Nike+iPod program useless. Its difficult to lock as well. I switch back to my other generic armband unless Im using the Nike+iPod feature, then I have to use this one. Needs view window I like everything about it except the lack of a window. It is comfortable to wear on runs and doesnt slip but if you like to look at your screen or playlists, you are out of luck with this armband. I look at my playlists at the beginning of my runs and even change it up on long runs and it is too difficult without a window...so I cut one. Looks bad but is functional. I suggest waiting for the window version...it has to be coming soon. Needs view window I like everything about it except the lack of a window. All of the armbands I had purchased previously claimed they would fit my twiggy runners arms. While most of them did fit my arm initially, after about 20 strides they rode down my arm and wound up dangling around my elbow. This is the only armband Ive found so far that will stay put on my arm even at a full-out sprint. Its composed of polyester, spandex, nylon and velcro instead of neoprene and velcro. The stretchiness provides a snug fit, and its lightweight to boot. I should add that I dont even have an iPod Nano. I own a different mp3 player, but it fits inside the armband just fine. I think that this would work for any player thats about the size of the Nano or smaller. Some of the controls obviously wont be in the exact same place as they are on the Nano, but for me thats no big deal. |
