The unique design is incredible. The dial in the middle rotates, and instead of hiding like a normal day/nigh indicator, works as a more interesting complication. The build quality of this watch feels great, it is heavy but not like a weight on my arm. It is a rather big watch, so if you have very small wrists, you might want to be wary. I love the instant date change, right at midnight it clicks over, rather than the gradual change of some watches. The luminous material on the hands and numerals works very well, but not for very long. I think it would have been a nice touch if they painted the moon with the Super Luminova too so it glowed. The dial itself is subtly reflective, appearing lighter or darker based on the angle. It appears to be a limited (xxx/999) edition, which is another neat touch. I have seiko automatics and kinetics, as well as citizen eco drive, and a steihausen automatic as well, and this watch appears to be at least as well built as any of those brands. Minor complaints: the crown doesnt screw down, but it is protected and I dont worry about it popping out on its own. On the front of the watch, it says 32 jewels, but on the back, 31. Obviously not a really relevant complaint, but still strange. |
