Tissot Men's T-Touch Watch     On: 2008-03-28

Watch meets my expectations except for the Altimeter. We live in Florida at 30 feet of elevation. Watch fluctuates between -200 feet to +200 feet. Maybe it will work better at higher altitudes. Watch is well made and attractive. Delivery was as expected when ordered.
DON'T EXPECT IT TO LAST     On: 2008-01-24

Mine lasted all of 30 months. Was repaired in the first 12 months under the warranty and then died again after 30 months. Quote $212 for repairs - obscene. A quality product should last a lot longer. STAY AWAY FROM TISSOT T TOUCH
Almost Great     On: 2007-11-29

This is one awesome watch, no two ways about it. Tissot did a great job with this one, so there are no complaints on the Tissot side of things but I do have a complain on the Amazon.com purchase side of thigs.

Clearly, Amazon.com offered this terrific watch at a great price. And the watch arrived in a timely fashion. My first impression, as I opened the shipping box and viewed the Tissot box was "oh no!" The box was broken on one of the corners and the manuals that were included were clearly used and old. So I was almost afraid to open the box to see the watch. Once I did, the watch had a plastic film all over it, giving me the impression that the watch is perhaps new, but not the Tissot box and manuals. After removing the plastic coverings and having a very close look, the watch did appear to be new, but theres really no way to tell. In terms of the various functions the watch offers, they have been working without fault.

In the end, I suppose I dont really care about the Tissot box and the manual. Heck, I downloaded the manual as a PDF from Tissot even before I got the watch. I would like to believe that I actually received a new watch, but the fact of the matter is that although it looks new, and functions perfectly, Ill never know for sure. I think that this is something that Amazon.com should address so that the buyer knows for certain what the deal is.
Not for everyday use     On: 2007-08-11

Its a nice watch to look at, it feels good and the functions are pretty neat. But the reliability is awful. I bought it for my husband and he has had it nearly five years and in that time it has had two major failures. On both occaisions at least 3 functions completely packed up and the sync between digital and analogue became distorted. The first time it was supposedly under international warranty but I ended up paying for a replacement (at cost) of the internal unit. The second time Ive been billed GBP 142.00 with a statement that the warranty wasnt valid. It was bought an an approved outlet and repaired the first time at one so Im a bit miffed. Even if I could have made my case more convincingly to Tissot on the warranty (too busy to bother) Im disappointed overall with the product. To fail once might be considered unluckly but to fail twice suggests a poor product.
T-Touch Problems     On: 2007-03-28

I am a gadget guy and was given this watch as a gift. I was very happy with it for the first year, but ran into major repair issues after 13 months. I also have heard from other owners that this is not uncommon. The repair for my watch is $240 and not covered under warranty because it does not have signature from an authorized dealer on it (even though I do have a warranty card). There are other reviews on Amazon (under other T-Touch models) that list similar problems/experiences. Because of the problems and expected reliability, I am not even going to have this watch repaired...its just not worth it.

To add insult to injury, the repairs cannot be completed by the authorized repair shops. None of them work on the T-Touch and thus everything has to be factory repaired, which takes 6-8 weeks.

The problem is that all of the cool technology in the watch comes at a price - reliability. The T-Touch is not as sturdy as its more conventional peers.

I would not recommend buying this watch or any T-Touch model...buy with caution.
Great Watch     On: 2007-01-25

This watch is cool period. You really have to see it to appreciate all the functions (thermo, compass, altimeter, etc). No complaints on the watch, but some reservations with fine brand watches. The watch appeared to be either a return or used, but for the price is still a good deal.
For Executives and Pilots     On: 2007-01-11

It has been very helpful in my activities as a pilot. Even though, I think it needs some helpful features for an executive. It would be interesting that the watch can handle at the same time two different countries time. One with the bars and another with the digital numbers.
Swiss Quality without extreme prices     On: 2006-12-18

I bought this watch in the US Virgin Islands, and the prices are better on Amazon ! This is a quality watch in every function, touch and user interaction. The bezel turns smoothly, and the compass markings are actually useful with the watch compass function. The tactile interface functions smoothly and all functions work well. The temperature is influenced however by your body heat, and the altimeter needs re-setting every so often. I imagine they are linked but dont really know. I like the way you can choose the digital display to provide date or one of the other functions depending on your activity.

The watch looks better than the pictures show, and the size seems just right. It is heavy and tall off your wrist, so if that is not your preference choose one with a titanium or rubber or leather band. I own over a dozen watches, many heavier or more elegant or larger, but this one always travels with me. The barometer does a nice job of predicting the weather too !
