Hes had no problems with it and it has all the features he was looking for. He couldnt be happier! Looks and Feels Great  On: 2008-02-08I have had it for a few weeks and everybody is asking questions. It looks and feels great - a good choice for a day to day watch. great watch On: 2007-11-09great watch it works as the manufacturer promisses - just like a swiss made timepiece Wow - Service Sticker Shock!!!  On: 2007-10-22I received by watch about 3 years ago. Paid about 500 for it. I was very pleased with it and the funcitionality until I sent it in for service. The thermometer was stuck at 99 degrees and as such figured it was time for service. I sent it to the location listed on their website and got the estimate back. Wow, what a shock. It was between $200 and $300 for service. Given that the watch was about 500 I find the service amount to be ridiculous. I have a Tag, Sector and various other high end watches. Never have I had to pay that much for service and the Tag is a $2,000 dollar watch!!! Needless to say I will not be having the watch serviced nor will I be buying a Tissot again. Light and Elegant On: 2007-09-30Titanium material makes the watch very light and comfortable to wear. Strong yet elegant & modern style watch. Functions works good and as described. run away from this steaming pile of shi...  On: 2007-08-01Bought it on 3 Oct 2006, through a authorized dealer in Singapore. 1. broke down after a few weeks, repaired by Swatch Group Singapore. 2. broke down after a few weeks, repaired. 3. broke down after a few weeks, replacement watch. 4. broke down after a few weeks, repaired. 5. broke down after a few weeks, I dont want the watch to be "repaired" anymore, I want a refund. Superb Watch On: 2007-06-07I bought this watch in 2003 on a trip in Vienna Austria. Counting the exchange rate I paid too much, but it is a superb timepiece. I have been a commercial pilot for years and would have liked to have this a long time ago. It is well built and seems indestructible. Not as tough as it looks  On: 2007-04-06The T-Touch has the appearance of a rugged survive anything I can type of watch - this is not true. While in Japan I wore mine in an onsen (Japenese hot bathhouse type place) this was the last time the compass worked. The watch was immersed to a depth of not more than one meter ie 3 feet - I used the thermometer function to see just how hot the bath was..42 celcius..too bad for the watch. The retailer happily sent the watch to be repaired...NINE WEEKS AGO..so now I wear my very old bullet proof Seiko divers watch. The T-Touch is not shockproof on at least two occasions the watch has effectively crashed when bumped against a wall. On striking the hard surface it emits a beep, all settings are lost and the hands become unsynchronised with the digital display - not difficult to rectify but time consuming and inconvenient. With centuries of watchmaking experience I think a Swiss watch making company like Tissot should be able to produce a watch as durable as a cheap Japanese watch. The T-Touch touch screen feature is an entertaining gimmick, the titanium watch is exceptionally light and easy to wear but does scratch easily. No problems with the touch screen at all so far. There is no light, the digital display cant be read at night. So, it is a very nice watch if you treat it like a delicate dress watch and dont get it wet. My advice: This is not a tough watch, dont buy it for its durability. Do buy it if you are taken by its appearance, like the T-Touch feature and hate swimming with a watch on. Watch review On: 2007-03-09I ordered this watch for my son when he became a Black Hawk helicopter pilot and he loves it. It came in perfect condition and is everything I hoped it would be. The price was lower than other web sites and well worth it. Thank you for providing such a special gift. Tissot Titanium Touch watch On: 2007-02-23Brilliant, new as stated, great condition, works wonderfully, brought as a 18th birthday present and my son who enjoys all the gimmicks. Arrived in less than 10 days from half way round the world. Cost less than half what it would cost here in Australia. No problems so far and I would recommend Amazon and the seller anytime. the best watch I ever had On: 2007-01-26I love that watch! Lightweight, comfort fit! Great look! Never had a problems with it! Highly recomended!!! Very good Watch On: 2007-01-15This is a Beautiful watch, with a amazing funtions, is also very strong and resistant. Impressive Timekeeping Gadget On: 2006-07-05I researched for this watch before I actually did the purchase and am happy with the overall results. This Tissot does the legacy well by including some additional features that you may or may not use but are really neat to have in hand. Besides the basic features you do have at your fingertouch (alarm, thermometer, compass, chronograph, altimeter, and barometer), the feel of the watch is really solid although I will comment that the bezel should be harder to turn since it does loosen itself over time. The only three flaws Ive found are that first, the watch really is suceptible to water in a sense that the owners manual says that it will be water tight to 30 meters, when Tissot salespeople at jewlery stores will tell you not to bathe or shower with it since water can go inside the watch. I didnt listen to them and moisture did find its way through making me look for product support where I was propmtly attended and they dried it out and gave me a warning not to ignore their recomendations for use. I was impressed since they didnt charge me anything for this service. After that, the Titanium case tends to scratch some which is normal in Titanium watches. Finally, night ilumination should be better, Tissot should look into having the indicators lit up with microtek gas which gives 50 times better ilumination for a long time or have the digital display be lit up with the touch of the center button. Flaws aside, it is very usefull to have around, the barometer works to a great extent allowing you to know if itll rain or not and all the other features can be usefull at times. Rugged, reliable, fun On: 2005-11-11I own the stainless steel version of this watch. I did a lot of research before I settled on this watch. And Im thoroughly pleased. Im sorry to hear that someone else had problems, I havent had any. Battery life: Tissot states a battery life of 2 years, Ive had mine now for 2.5 and still going. Glass: I am a lot outdoors and use my hands a lot. I have scratched many watches by scraping the glass against something. Not on this one. The raised bezel is stainless steel and protects the glass. Its impossible to scratch it. Compass: Has helped me many times on overcast days. Alarm: Special feature: the first beeps are spaced further apart to "ease" you into the alarm. Nice touch! Chrono: I use it all the time. Temp: Fun to find out how hot the water in the hotel pool is. Altimeter: I live 50m above sealevel. And its fun to take an elevator to the 25th floor and watch the display. Barometer: A friend of mine has the identical watch and our barometers deviate by 2mbars. Thats about 0.2%. Wow. Thats Swiss engineering. Timekeeping: Both our watches lose about 1-2 seconds / month. Not bad either... Excellent Design - A Tissot Classic On: 2005-10-29I have the orange band version and its an excellent mix of aesthetics and technology. If you dont want a huge fat Citizen or Seiko, get this watch. Everything works perfectly and its a real marvel. Altimeter - Good for hiking. Compass - Good for impressing the opposite sex Barometer - Never get caught in the rain again Alarm - Easy to set and use Chrono - Equally easy to use Touch Screen - Just about incredible do not buy this watch,and please tell your friends. On: 2005-10-15i would have given it a zero if it was possible,what a waste of money,it has been back to tissot 4 times in 12 months.I am really really really dissapointed with this watch,it is a piece of worthless rubbish,I wish I didnt buy it.thanks for nothing people at tissot. I feel really strongly about this...this watch is a lemon. |
