Sorry yours didnt work out for you but they make really nice watches. Its not a Chinese knock off and pretty reputable brand. They dont deserve these comments. Certainly not for every single model they make! You didnt leave a comment for 6000 model which is what you had. What gives??? I am not affiliated with Tag Heuer in any way, shape or form. Just ticked off by reading your same comment for almost all the Tag Heuers on Amazon. Tag Heuer Chronographs - words of advice and caution  by: dmann23 On: 2007-03-07 This is a review from my experience of owning a Tag Heuer 6000 Chronometer Chronograph which is relevant since the Carerra and 6000 share the same movement except Tag did have the 6000 COSC certfied which suppousdly makes it a better watch. My Tag locked up two weeks out of the warranty period and Tags response was it is your watch and all we care about is getting $340.00 to do a maintenance on a two year old $4500 watch. Am no stranger to mechanical watches in fact own over a dozen (over forty watches in total) including a Bulova that is over forty years old and have never had this problem with any watch until now. As a mater of fact Tanya the service manager told me straight out that Tag does not make as good of a watch and no Tag should be expected to last as long as the Bulova. IMO if you want to know what time it is buy a $19.95 special somewhere and chunck when the battery dies. Cheaper and more reliable than wearing one of the most expensive watches Tag makes. However if you want to have strapped to your wrist a "fine example of Swiss watchmaking expertise" be prepared to spend 300 plus bucks every couple of years. Also, this is the real deal - I showed it to an authorized Tag Heuer dealer and yes, it was indeed an authentic Tag Heuer. [...] This watch is also slightly smaller than the Tag Heuer Carrera Tachymetre so if youre looking for something in the amazing Carrera lineup, but something a little smaller, this is the watch to get. Finally Tag Heuer is a great watch to get - if youve never had an expensive mechanical watch before, try this out and you wont be disappointed. This watch is the real deal and it will show when you wear it. |
