 Swiss Army Men's Excursion Watch #24498 By: Swiss Army Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 2 More Information A better band would rate 5 stars  On: 2008-01-01Ive had this watch for about 4 years now, and have only one complaint: the band. Everything else about this watch has been great: it keeps time well, both the analog and digital functions work intuitively, after several years the rotating bezel is still tightly attached. If you are a heavy sleeper, the relatively-quiet "beeping" alarm may not wake you up, but I have not overslept any of the times Ive relied on the alarm. The big problem is the "rubber" wrist band that comes with the watch. It looks great out of the box, but breaks quickly. I have not had one of these plastic watch bands that lasted longer than 1 year, and get pretty annoyed at the annual $30 - $40 cost to buy a replacement. I finally got fed up and bought a leather band, but now I cant take the watch in the water. This is a fantastic watch that I would rate 5-stars if it werent for the band. Only small complaint is that the band wants the watch to ride on the outside (ie., pinky finger side) of my wrist. Otherwise nice watch for the money. |
