Very poor construction On: 2007-01-25Croton makes very superficial products - they look good on the shelf, but are very poorly constructed. Once you get them home they start to fall apart. They have no customer service at all. Nobody answers the phone or returns email. Before buying a Croton watch - call their customer service. You wont get through. Good watch for the price  On: 2007-01-11This watch is generally a good watch, but there are some flaws in ours--not a surprise considering the price. One, there is a white haze under the crystal when viewed in the sunlight--perhaps the result of careless manufacturing and cleaning. Two, my son has had the band come apart twice in one month. The later probably a design issue relative to all the spring-loaded retainers and such, and the general range of movement of the clasp. Nice looking On: 2007-01-10This watch looks great although I was afraid that it was going to be bulky. It has worked great for my husband. The only problem we have had with it is setting the date on it. No matter what time of day we set the date, it is always the wrong date by the next day. Excellent watch for right price  On: 2006-11-11The risons are;no need of batteries,japanese movement,excellent look for right price.Boutgh already two ,for me and my friend. Heaviest Watch Ever  On: 2006-11-10This is great looking watch at a good price but very heavy. I am unable to wear this watch with activities like golf and tennis. ok for the price, but CRYSTAL IS NOT SAPPHIRE! On: 2006-09-30got my watch a few days back. first thing one notices, it is nicely packaged. however, the disappointment came when i learned that the CRYSTAL IS NOT SAPPHIRE as advertised here (usually it is stamped on the backcase), but the less expensive MINERAL. i wrote crotons customer service 2 emails regarding this issue, and got no reply - so much for one reviewers claim of "best customer service company in america"... i finally got a confirmation from amazon (and very promptly - i was pleasantly surprised), that the crystal is in fact mineral - so why havent they updated this in the product description? after all, it makes a huge difference, since sapphire is much more expensive. nice solid case and bracelet (the clasp looks a bit weak), crystal back. the printing on the face looks kind of cheap. the glow in the dark stuff is not that good - hardly holds any "charge". better than my $50 casio, but overall, despite the low price ($75). i wish now i had saved my money and invested in something tried like a seiko automatic instead. my next watch will be a seiko black monster! ok for the price, but CRYSTAL IS NOT SAPPHIRE! Excellent Watch for the Price On: 2006-09-21I bought this watch by pure chance while browsing, I wanted a watch that is cheap and looks good and automatic. This watch actually is very expensive at other places, and it is actually expensive watch. I bought it on special from Amazon, it cost me only 59 dollars. I like the watch, and never need replacing batteries. I am not a watch expert, and not in to watch qualities, but this watch is good. Good Watch On: 2006-08-24This watch looks like business. The movement is what I really like. You get about 5 ticks per second instead of 1 so it looks more sweeping (though I wouldnt call it sweeping). I give it a 5 based on looks and cost. I havent had it long, and it took a couple days of wearing it for it to keep time correctly (it was losing a few hours at night). I guess it just needed to get charged up. Its no Rolex, but its no Casio either. Fantastic watch for the price! On: 2006-08-18Heavy stainless steel, sapphire crystal, Japanese automatic movement AND it looks great! I got this with free shipping at an EXTREMELY (under $70.00) reduced price via a previous Amazon Friday Sale - well worth it - now that I think of it, I should have bought more as presents... |
