Its really strange that AMAZON does not understand the basic law in commerce, I buy they sell..if something happéns exchange it for another product with same or higher value. The worse part is : Amazon messed up and they put their terms..really exasperating and frustrating, Hope they change their opinion, after all it is the Customer,s choice and money to choose where and what to buy especially if a Store messes up. T-Touch Navigator 3000 Although I have numerous vintage Tissot watches, and a few new ones, this is the first in the T-Touch series that Ive acquired. The watch looks great - the grey band with orange highlights and same coloration on the dial is stunning - and the world time function (especially the ability to swap between home and traveling zones) is great. Im glad that it was possible to select a non-European orientation of the month and date - on another T-Touch acquired subsequently, I have to keep reminding myself that "3-2" is February 3rd, not March 2nd. My only caution to prospective buyers, however - one that is echoed in numerous reviews of other watches in the T-Touch series - is that this is a very complicated watch, and the manual is written by the same person that authored those little hieroglyphs on the buttons on your car, whatever theyre supposed to represent... I had the watch a week before finding a sufficient block of time to play with it, "read" the manual, and yell at no one in particular, before I could set the time/date and put it on my wrist. Mixed review Watch has great technical features, which take some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it, youll love it. But I returned it. I really wanted the one with the steel band (hard to find at discount price). The leather strap is poorly made...neon orange stitching is crooked, which stands out like a sore thumb against the grey leather. It should be simple to get that right, especially for a Swiss watch like Tissot. I think the seller has obtained "less-than-perfect" condition watches and therefore the discount (you usually really do get what you pay for). I found that glaring imperfection to be unacceptable, so I sent it back. Waiting on refund. Excellent travel tool I spent quite some time looking for a watch that would work for me for all the travel that I do. I wanted multiple times, alarm and a back-light in a watch that looked stylish, and the Tissot delivers all this plus more. Unlike many watches that offer the similar functionality such as the Citizen Sky Hawk, (which has no backlight) the watch face is uncluttered and easy to read with a quick glance. The digital display is clear and the red backlight with its three levels of intensity is a great bonus unique to the Navigator range of the Tissot Touch series, (Not sure why they did not introduce this in the other Touch watches). The functionality is ideal... World time, Alarm, Calender, Stop watch and Timer... each one of these fuctions has daily use potential, unlike the other Tissot Touch watches with altimeter (Why?), compass (that needs calibrating and Why?) and temperature (As long as you take it off your wrist and leave it alone for 15 minutes)! The backlight is accessed by twisting the crown and the different functions are accessed by pressing in the crown and then touching one of six areas on the face, no other buttons used! FANTASTIC. The watch has been bashed and nicley abused, but has so far shown no scratches on the face and only mild scuffing on the bezel. The strap is nicely made and the clasp is very strong...no complaints there, and remember I am used to the Omega which is built like a tank. The only downside so far is that it is fairly chunky compared to the Seamaster I wear when not travelling, and the paint inside the engraved wording of the bezel that indicates the function began to peel. No biggie, I used a pin to finish the job and take all the paint off, which actally looks so much better than when it was painted. All in all a great watch and at <$400 it is a steal. Recommended. The only star dropped was that after a few months my precious backlight failed, but a few days at a Tissot service center and $30 sorted that out. |
