I was looking for a watch to replace my Timex Ironman Triathalon. Didnt really want a metal band watch, because I do lots of work and sweat and Ive had irritation problems with metal bands in the past. But I did want to take advantage of "atomic" radio signal timekeeping technology.
This watch fit what I wanted perfectly! Its a little bigger than my old Triathalon, but I actually like the layout better. The velcro band is what works best for me for a daily-wearer watch. And if you keep it clean, its actually a good looking watch.
I set it on a bookshelf in my bedroom, which is not by a window, and it usually picks up the signal at night. You do have to push a button to get it to display the month/day date, but thats no problem, once you learn thats what you need to do. The regular display shows mainly the time and day (ie. Mon, Tues, etc.).
This watch has a battery, and from experience, I expect the battery to last a little over 2 years. And to top it all off, this watch was about $5 cheaper than my old Triathalon!
Highly recommended for a non-dress daily wearer watch.
