I was shopping around for a heart rate moniter to measure my heart rate and i thought this watch was a good price and Polar I heard is a great company. The watch is great. It tracks my heart rate perfectly and it keeps me motivated to work out and stay in my heart range. when you put the watch close to the chest strap it automatically change to let you know how long you been in your time zone, what your heart rate is and also how long you been working out. I think this is a simple watch that is easy to use and easy to read. The machines at the gym also picks up the heart moniter and shows me what my heart rate is on the screen. The only problem I notice but doesnt really affect me is that the machines next to me also reads my heart rate moniter which is kinda awkward when someone is trying to use the machine and I know they are trying to figure out why their heart rate is 136. Decent, basic heart rate monitor Overall, the monitor is good, although it was a bit funny in the beginning and gave very strange readings. It occasionally acts up when the sensors are not damp enough to give an accurate reading, but then seems to do a good job. It also sends my heart rate directly to the machines at the gym which is extremely useful. Would consider it a decent heart rate monitor with basic functions. Recommended if you only need basic features. HRM If you are looking to monitor your HR so that you do not go above or below your target the product works very well. It is worth the money. The only thing I sometimes get annoyed with is the chest strap. Sometimes it slips off--but I guess that means Im losing inches, so I cant blame it on the strap. You actually forget that you are wearing the strap after you warm up and get into the workout. Works well, but uncomfortable I have no complaints about the heart-rate-monitoring - it does just what it says it will. But I think the wrist part of it is very difficult to put on and take off, and is uncomfortable. I thought for sure Id find the chest-strap uncomfortable - but no problem there! The watch part is solid hard plastic, so you cant change the band. Ive never had a watch that I had such trouble putting on! Maybe it just isnt flexible enough. |
