 Skagen Men's Titanium Watch #396LTMD By: Skagen Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 6 More Information Smart and very comfortable  On: 2008-01-04I received this watch as a Christmas present. This is my second Skagen watch and both have the same style of metallic strap, which I love because it is so comfortable. The thin face seems to be a theme for Skagen watches. It is light and very comfortable for every day use. I really like the brown colour of the face and strap. I havent had the watch for long but so far so good. Nice Watch On: 2007-12-25Sharp dressy color. Thin & light with a slightly oversize face but I have small wrists & this watch looks nice because it is so thin. Value On: 2007-09-12Excellent value. Fine looking time piece. Large, easy to read face. Smart looking in brown color. Had to return first one because the stem was broken. But, I ordered another one that is working fine. Still waiting for the refund on the first which was returned about a month ago. I find the delay in refunding the credit for this watch extremely annoying.. good watches for the price  On: 2007-09-08First off, these skagen watches with mesh bands and titanium cases weigh almost nothing. Often, I will check my arm to make sure that I didnt forget to wear my watch. Second, these are great looking watches. And did I mention thin yet? So, why only three stars? Well, the band is not a solid color all the way through. Ive been careful, but there are a few marks where the brown has worn away to a silver color underneath. Also, the clasp comes open sometimes. Since the watch has a double clasp, its not likely to fall off. Yet, its not really safe to walk around with a sharp metal object protruding from the wrist. Just ask my wife whom I scratched. OUCH! In defense of this watch, I havent marked the crystal yet--even though it is more exposed than it is on other watches I have owned. I have owned a few g shocks so I may be spoiled as far as durability. One last minor quibble. Skagen doesnt offer any watches with solar power or automatic movements. I really appreciate this feature in my "work" watch (which is solar powered with a claimed battery life of 10 years minimum.) Ultimately, its perhaps a little unfair to complain about watches that look this good and sell for so little. I could buy two or three of this model for the cost of a Seiko kinetic. I like this watch and will continue to wear it. But I am already eying other watches with automatic movements and, hopefully, tougher exteriors. a stunning statement On: 2007-09-04This is a beautiful dress/casual watch. Slim fit, eye catching fine mesh band in dark coffee colour!! Very easy to read; the bronze face is very attractive, with a sort of burnished colour that changes at different light angles. A very expensive looking piece of male jewellery that I just love. FYI it cost me $350 to buy here in New Zealand from a local jeweller, so the price from Amazon is very affordable. I have recently ordered three more Skagen Watches from amazon for my wife and I. They are lovely. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Skagen TItanium Watch On: 2007-08-01Really like this watch. Its light, looks great, comfortable, accurate and water resistant to 3 ATMs. Thinking about buying another one, different color and/or style. |
