Handsome Watch     On: 2008-01-28

The Skagen Titanium #342XLTTW is a handsome, streamlined watch. The most striking feature is the flow of the band into the case.
Good Price&Product     On: 2007-12-26

I bought it a month ago and I did not have any problem...The transaction was smooth and I am glad to get it.Thanks.

buyer BEWARE     On: 2007-12-24

I received this handsome watch as a gift for my birthday. Unfortunately, as seems to have been the case for others before me, my enjoyment was short lived.

One night as I was getting ready for bed I took it off and put it on my dresser. About 10 minutes later, I heard a loud pop that sounded like a light bulb burning out. I got out of bed and went over to see what had happened, and was shocked to see that a large round disc had spontaneously blown out of the center of the crystal. I contacted Skagen, and while they initially denied that there was a problem with a faulty design, they quickly agreed to exchange it for a different model.

I only hope that the problem with the crystal is limited to this particular model, and not to all Skagen watches.

I dont think that Amazon should be selling this particular watch, and plan to contact them about this directly.

Cracked crystal problem     On: 2007-12-02

Im sorry to have to report the same broken crystal. I am quite sure I did not hit it on anything. I think it happened when I came inside from the cold. I looked down, and my desk had broken glass on it, and the face was broken.
Beautiful watch, but has some problems.     On: 2007-11-16

The watch is really nice. I like the colors; the titanium is a sort of silverish grey/tan and the white on the dial is also a little bit grey or off white.

The face is large, so make sure you want that.

There was one problem with it though. After a day of wearing the watch, my husband discovered that one of the pins is not securely placed in the setting. i.e. one side of the strap could come off at any time. It took us a long time to fit it in properly (NOT as easy as it sounds, since you are dealing with a titanium strap). It is surprising that Skagen should ship out an improperly assembled product!
nice gift     On: 2007-11-15

I bought this watch as a gift... This is a good watch for everyday wear and can be adjusted to fit larger wrists. The only problem I encountered was the way to adjust the band...the directions seemed simple, but I ended up going to jeweler after I bent the pin
Nice watch.     On: 2007-11-07

This is a very slim, light, and fashionable watch. I usually get at least one compliment a day when I wear it.

While I havent experienced the mysterious "exploding crystal" problem a few people have reported, there are a few things the buyer should know:
- If youre expecting a silver or chrome color on the band, thats not what youre going to get. The color is better described as a light gunmetal.
- The faces of Skagen watches typically have a brushed metal metallic sheen to them. This particular watch doesnt have that, its just off white.
- Not too important, but in the dark, the glowing hands and numbers are a joke. They very dim and fade to nothing within about 5 minutes.

All in all though, another awesome watch from Skagen.

I love this watch!     On: 2007-10-11

This watch is beautiful and works well. What else can I say--except the Amazon price was great!
Crystal got broken in 2 months     On: 2007-10-02

This watch was kept in cupboard and suddenly part of the crystal got exploded and broken. No hits, no pressure - simply defective product. Skagen doesnt cover this under warranty. Stay away from this product.
Exactly what we wanted     On: 2007-09-26

We were looking for a thin, well made watch with luminous hands and a steel band. The Skagen is very handsome and well made.
Very dangerous, don't wear around children     On: 2007-09-16

I brought this watch six months ago on Amazon. I loved it, very slim and light, althought the dial was larger than I expected. Today I wore the watch to work, parked my car, got out and started to walk to work, and suddenly the whole middle of the crystal fell out. It left a perfect circle on whats left of the crystal, pretty cool. Luckily there was no kids around to step on the shards. Can you imagine if this happened around children and you didnt notice? And to top it all off, the crystal is not covered by the warrenty, the cost to replace it is $25 and $8.95 shipping and handling. $34 to fix a watch I just paid $87 for. Rip off!!!! Do not buy, dangerous product.
The same excellent quality as other Skagen watches I've owned.     On: 2007-09-01

This is the second Skagen watch Ive owned. The face is a little larger than I imagined. I prefer the smaller size of the previous titanium watch I bought.

The thinness of the watch and the absolute comfort of the mesh strap are the best reasons for owning one.
Nice watch     On: 2007-08-28

Weve owned three now, and given another one as a gift. Obviously, we like it!
Large face but amazing small     On: 2007-08-24

In spite of the relatively large face on this watch ( part of the reason I purchased it) the watch is amazingly thin and lies very flat on your wrist. The bright white face makes the black hands stand out for even those of us with eyesight that is not what it was 10 years ago. The titanium case and band have an interestingly "dull lustre" that makes the watch very inconspicuous on your arm.
The only negative I have noticed is that the band does not match the lines of the case completely, leaving the potential for a small "edge" betwen the case and the band that makes it prone to catch your jacket.
Again the titanium lustre makes the watch work well to wear with gold or silver accesories.
At the Amazon prices, this watch is a great buy.
good value but not good look     On: 2007-08-24

I purchased this watch as a gift, I did not see this in person, I based my decision on photos alone, the watch looks good in terms of spec and the photos make it look good physically, but I did not like it when I received it.

I much prefer the value and look of 233XLTTN, it has a blue face with titanium case and band, suer thin, most importantly, it looks great on a many peoples skin - Ive seen it on white and Asians wrists, it looks simply beautiful, Im considering to get one for myself.
Crystal I explode single     On: 2007-08-16

Strangely the crital of clock bought recently I explode single without receiving ningun blow.

and all this less than two months of use, aquien I can go so that they are responsible for garantia.

My favorite watch     On: 2007-07-30

No other watch manufacturer offers this level of style, design and reliability for this low price. Ultra-thin, titanium tough and about twice the price of a Timex. This is my second Skagen watch but not my last.
Stay away     On: 2007-07-27

And so I thought that those chrystal problems wouldnt affect me... This watch was kept with silken gloves, and suddenly part of the chrystal just dropped on the floor. No hits, no pressure - simply defective product. The only good thing is that it was so cheap, but on the other hand, it doesnt pay to send it to Skagen because of return postage costs.

So dont let the look to fool you.
not the fault of watch     On: 2007-06-24

the only way to break the crystal is by pressing down on the clasp with the crystal on a hard surface (table). great watch!
Great Watch and Great Style     On: 2007-06-11

I have had several Skagen watches and was not surprised when I got this one. I get many compliments on the quality and how thin it is. I do not have big wrists and most watches are made for big wrist people. I ended getting another one for my dad last fathers day and he loves it. I am a skagen watch person for life as long as they keep up these great thin watches. Great quality, workmanship and lots of compliments from others.
so I'm shallow     On: 2007-05-16

(I like my watches like I like my girls: sexy and skinny.) This being my second Skagen watch, I dont know when (if ever) I will drift away from Skagens thin and lightweight titanium styles. This model sparkles and glistens like crazy, and I love how sharp, simple, and elegant it is. The off-white face is an awesome color, and it has a bigger diameter than my older one (105LTX) which adds to its graceful look. I am a big fan of this mesh band; it fits really good, feels nice and smooth, is easy to adjust, and looks amazing. Oh, and it keeps time really nicely.
Crystal Cracked     On: 2007-05-12

This was a great watch, however, on this particular model the crystal cracked within the first 10 days. I requested a replacement and it also cracked. I may be the only one experiencing this problem, but I did try twice. I requested a refund and ordered a different model Skagen watch.
Face Exploded     On: 2007-04-26

Ive had this watch for 2 weeks now. While it was a great looking watch, and felt nice and light, the face of the watch just cracked open! Now I need to get warranty repair service... which includes sending Skagen a check for return postage.
I thought this would be a long-lasting quality time instrument - but it ended up breaking in 2 weeks!
Faulty Crystal     On: 2007-04-24

I have had two of these watches. On the first one a 1 inch sized disc blew out of the center of the crystal. The relpacement shipped to me did the exact same thing. The first time I was holding an Xbox 360 controller. The second a television remote. I was very careful with this watch. It was not abuse, it is an obvious product defect. I have returned the item all together.
Skagen Men's Titanium Watch was a real hit     On: 2007-04-08

I bought this watch as a gift for my husband after he saw a friend of his with it. The watch is very nice and comfortable. The band is an interesting mesh which is very cool and just right for the golf course in hot Florida The watch has a nice low profile and looks much more expensive than it actually was. It was a big hit with my hard to please husband.
Nice watch but VERY large,     On: 2007-03-17

The specs say 35mm width but this baby is a full 48mm. It is very nice otherwise and I like the thinness. I am getting used to the width. It is way bigger than the specs say. It is light as a feather on your wrist though.
