 Citizen Eco-Drive Men's Calibre 2100 Watch #AV0031-59A By: Citizen Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 19 More Information Solid Timepiece  On: 2008-05-29I love wearing this watch because it has a well-made bulk about it that is unmistakable. The picture (or any) of this watch does not do justice to (1) the subtle pattern on the face of the watch and (2) the extremely sharp lettering and numbering. Overall, for a large watch, this would be hard to beat by any other company in terms of quality, wearability, and overall style. Citizen Quality is top of the Line On: 2008-04-04Ive been wearing this watch for over a year now, it exceeds my expectations greatly. The time keeping is excellent, the solar powered cell works as advertised (It stays pegged on full charge with very little direct sunlight). The stainless steel case is heavy duty and looks impressive! You wont be disappointed with this purchase. Broke in less than 30 days  On: 2008-02-21The watch feels nice. Fit my wrist well and looked good. Unfortunately, the chronograph on this watch is not built as durably as the rest, and it failed on me. Luckily, this was fast enough for me to get my money back. If you think you will be using the arm that the watch is on to do things, I wouldnt buy this watch. Nice looking watch  On: 2008-02-08Good product. In bright sunlight i occasionally cant see the hands clearly but apart from that i am very pleased. Citizen Eco-Drive On: 2008-01-12THis watch is just awesome! Its heavy weight makes you proud to wear it. I would purchase it again! Husband's Christmas Watch On: 2008-01-09I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas. It arrived extremely fast (for Alaska) and was in PERFECT condition (of course, since it is brand new). He loves the watch and I am extremely pleased that I purchased it!! A true man's watch! On: 2007-11-30With a lot of heavy hinting to my wife, I received this watch for Christmas last year. It truly is a mans watch! Big, thick, heavy, eye-catching face and large buttons and knobs. It wasnt difficult for me to choose between the stainless steel and the lighter titanium model. To me, the stainless steel is certainly more attractive due to easier to read face and the shinier finish. I know some other reviewers commented on the weight of this watch being an issue. But a watch like this SHOULD be heavier. Come on, no watch is so heavy that it can be deemed a hindrance to your normal movement or fatiguing! Ive just started collecting watches and, I have to say, this one is still my favorite. Its versatile enough to wear casually or with formalwear. Either way, its a great conversation piece since Ive gotten many compliments on my wifes good taste in mens watches (wink)! The reason I rated this four stars instead of five is that the glow-in-the-dark dial does not glow for long. Forget about reading the time if youve been in a theater for an hour or so. But still, a great watch. Wow! On: 2007-10-18Watch looks and feels like it is high quality. It is a massive and heavy watch and the functionalities are what I wanted from a watch, and even more. The Eco-Drive feature is a bonus, and keeps the hands glowing in the dark very well. I am happy with the purchase price (saved about 1/2 from what retailers where selling it for in Canada!) and I had compliments about it. It was a great birthday gift from my wife! Great watch On: 2007-09-14I bought this watch about two year ago. and I have received compliments from people around me. They are all impressed by the look of it. I like the eco-drive feature - no need to replace battery or rewind. It is solid and mascular, great as a gift. It even comes with an alarm that is handy sometimes. It is a $500 watch (list) but looks like a few times more expensive. I have a Rolex that is much more expensive but I still wear the citizen all the time! very pleased On: 2007-07-23Its a great watch at a great price and it came the next day in the mail. More beautiful then my imagination and even look better then pictures given on the website when you see it in real. one drawback is little bit heavy. Calibre 2100 is great On: 2007-02-23This watch is gorgeous! I sized it as soon as it arrived and put it on before hitting the door to catch a plane. The bracelet is beautiful too. Just be careful when adjusting the links . . . theres a sleeve for the link pins that has to be put back in to get the pins to stay in. All of the dials are easy to read. I like the size and weight of the watch too. The Eco Drive is a great feature, no winding and no special case needed as with the automatics . . . just expose the watch to light and it keeps going. The meter to show how much reserve power is in the batter is good for letting you know when its time to give the watch some sun. Great Watch! I highly recomend this watch A nice looking watch  On: 2006-08-01I had looked at this watch at neighborhood stores and liked it as soon as I saw it. Its a large watch, which I was looking for.I debated with myself for some time trying to decide if I should get the one with the black face or the one with the light face. Since I have a nice seiko chronograph with a black face, I decide to go for the other one. These are the things that I dont like about the watch. Its very hard to see the hands on the watch.Its actually a little difficult to tell time as the hands blend into the face. Maybe its my eyes, but its difficult to see the date.I think that could have been larger or magnified. I also wish it had a day setting. Setting the date at the end of each month is also a pain. In spite of all this, I still like wearing the watch. I like the weight and and feel of the watch. Although, maybe the model with the black face would have been a better choice. My favorite watch! This is my third Citizen watch (among many others), but my favorite of the bunch. It is a bit on the thick & heavy side, but that is what I was looking for; something with substance. The luminescent hands are very bright and long lasting. The watch takes a good amount of sunlight to fully charge, but even in a partially charged state, it works just fine. Once fully charged, it rarely, if ever moves off of the fully charged indicator. I have the stainless steel band and it has proved to be durable and attractive. The titanium is tougher but has a satin finish rather than a glossy finish. I tend to be hard on my crystals and so far, so good. This one has a flat, hardened crystal and looks great.
