Great until the band comes off or it's dark     On: 2007-09-11

I have had 3 of these watches over the years, but I finaly gave up on them. I LOVE the look, but they have 3 big drawbacks, First off, no light. The glow paint on the watch is pretty dim. Second, it goes through batteries pretty quick. When the battery gets low the hands stop moving but the digital part still works. First time that happened I thought the watch had malfunctioned. Third, the band comes off the watch! The pin that holds it on isnt robust enough. That is why my last one is on the bottom of the river right now.
Nice looking - works well     On: 2007-08-07

This is a nice looking, durable and very functional watch. I especialy like the ability to see two time zones when traveling and the ability to wear this unit anywhere - in the pool, in the ocean, on a hike. I had the "dive" watch last time (AMW320D-9EV), and it was great too. The luminous hands worked better on the dive watch - they are pretty dim on the 1EV. Otherwise, I like it and wear it most of the time, excepting more formal occasions.
solid basic diver watch     On: 2007-06-10

I have had the 1st generation of this watch since 1994, on its fifth battery now. Could not find many watch repair places with the larger tools to open it until recently. Watches this big were not popular in the early 90s. The crystal is indestructable. Still getting complements. It is weathering very well, on the third band now. The face is extremely easy to see in most reasonable lighting conditions. If I need a watch with a light I just dont wear it at that time. Its not high tech. It just works and looks good.
Casio good but lacks useful features.     On: 2007-05-12

This is an old style Casio with limited functionality, but it does everything its supposed to do. I chose this from among the throngs of analog/digital stopwatch water resistant watches because it has a rotating bezel, the hands dont obscure the digital screen, and it has a non-metal band and is suitable for exercise. It doesnt have a light or a countdown timer. Timex makes a watch with the features of this Casio and the features that it lacks, but I prefer Casios logic. Hopefully Casio will get a clue and provide a watch with all of the features described in this review.

Quick and Fast Delivery     On: 2007-03-20

The order was placed on a Thursday and the watch was received on the following Wednesday. Thank you.
Perfect but,     On: 2007-03-14

This watch is almost perfect. All Casio needs to do is add a light. The dial does glow for a few minutes after exposure to light but not well enough to rely on it when you are really in the dark. Great style though. All other features are wonderful.
This is an excellent casual/sport watch     On: 2007-03-12

I had seen the "gold/orange" face version of this Casio watch for years but didnt know it came in black (and white) until I found it on Amazon. I really like the classic good looks of this watch... nice rugged case, smooth-clicking rotating bezel, sturdy band, etc. For <$60, this watch truly delivers awesome quality and value. The digital features are great too. Ive received a few compliments from co-workers on this watch already. Overall, an awesome watch for the money and I couldnt be happier with it.
The Honda of watches     On: 2007-03-05

I bought my first Casio Divers Watch in 1999 to use in my job as a police ofcr working road patrol. This watch is super tough. I liked the idea of the large easy to read analog dial, and the smaller digital readout that I set to military time as that is what is used for work.

The crystal is pretty good at minimizing scratches. Battery replacement is a little less than two years. Super dependable watch, and tough. Mine have gone through fights, and monthly firearms practice. I never had a single hiccup from any of the two Ive worn for work. The watchband does seem to breakdown quickly and will develop cracks and then tear. However, I just replace it with a generic black leather one at a nominal cost.

Im ordering two more, and am so glad they are still being produced.
Good buy but could be a slight bit better     On: 2007-01-18

I purchased this watch about a year ago. The watch does everything I expected it to but even for the close to 50 bucks I paid for the watch I would desire a light for the digital clock piece and My watches hour and minute hands do not illuminate at all after about 30 minutes. This is probably a quality issue as others have said their watches are illuminated very brightly. If the part worked well I would have given the watch 4 stars but because this and no light on the digital clock part I have to give it 3 stars. My other watch is a Tag and for what you pay for this watch it is a good deal if you can handle no light and illumination hit and miss.
Great watch!     On: 2006-12-08

Ive owned this model for about seven years and I think Ill buy another to keep on standby in case I break the original (Im not gentle with my watches while working/playing).

Tough, pretty easy to set, good features, and classic "diver" style at a great price. Whats not to like? Wouldnt mind having a light on the LCD, otherwise it is proven a great investment.

Battery lasts ~2 years with the alarm going off every day and watch band life is about the same (cracks develop after a while). No corrosion (duh, stainless steel) and good resistance to scratches on the crystal so far.
Casio 100 Meter Combo Resin Watch     On: 2006-11-10

This is a long-standing standard for a solidly designed well-priced divers watch. I have owned this model of watch for several years. The only reason why I get a new one is because my old one gets too beat up from scratches and the like, but not because of any failure.

The mineral crystal is superior for resisting scratches and so much more quality than a cheap plastic type. The stainless steel case looks good and offers rugged protection for the internal components. I have never had a situation where water leaked into the internal part of the watch.

You get the best of both types of displays (analog and digital). I put the dual time function to use when I travel overseas and dont want to readjust the analog display.

This is a no-brainer if you are in the market for a divers style watch.
Greatness     On: 2006-08-13

This watch has and does everthing, us men need. Not only does it look kool but it provides a digital and analog display to tell time. The digital part and wrist band provides the "Sport" look and the Analog with cumpus provides the "casual" look, so therefore you get the best of both sides.

This is an excellent buy for a father, brother, or boyfriend who love a great watch. If you are looking for something to buy for a love one consider this, its well worth the money.
