Heavy stainless band underlays the sleek black enamel surface. The coating does wear off after a while (I got mine Jan. 2007, its Aug. 2007 & I can see raw stainless under the studs at their tips). Fortunately, this weathering looks just as cool as the black shininess of the new watch. I am hoping it weathers into a really slick mad max beyond thunderdome looking watch. Will probably wear it for as long as I can. Bonus of the shiny black is it looks good with formal wear, whilst retaining a tough edge. Best watch ever. |
