 Gucci Men's Watch #17735 By: Gucci Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Gorgeous, Authentic Gucci Watch  On: 2007-01-16I bought this for my husband for his birthday present. I had some trepidation about its authenticity since I was buying it sight unseen, but the watch is undoubtedly genuine. The design is simple and timeless; the pictures displayed on Amazon are very accurate. The watch has a substantial, sturdy weight without being heavy. The crowns are embossed with the signature G for Gucci and the band is especially well made, lying comfortably on the wrist and no slipping. While not flashy, the band is very attractive, as the outside perimeter refracts the light nicely. The stainless steel is well polished and seems to be resistant to scratching. The mid-sized face is elegant and easy to read; the numerals glow in the dark. Note that there is no second hand on this watch. Overall it is very handsome and well-fitting, and I find my husband admiring his wrist frequently. I give this review 4 stars because within 12 hours after receiving it, we had to take it in to have the battery replaced, and Gucci batteries are about 33% more expensive than are other batteries. This is really nitpicking since I got the watch at such an incredible savings at Amazon. The watch also had to be sized and we had to take it to three different jewelers before the pins on the band could be removed. They are extremely tight (probably a testament to its craftmanship) and therefore difficult to pull out. Make sure you take the watch to an experienced jeweler, as the pins can easily be bent, making the sizing more problematic. On a final note, the warranty that Amazon supplies with this watch is excellent. The warranty found in the box through Gucci is null and void, but no matter; its virtually identical to the Amazon warranty except that the Guccis is for only two years and Amazons is for five. |
