On: 2008-04-18This is my second Movado and I absolutely love it. I received it in flawless condition and I had it resized at Helzberg Diamond at no cost. This looks like a $1500 watch at fractions of the cost. This is one of the few classy accessories that doesnt shrink your wallet. Movados are Timepieces On: 2008-03-28This is my second Movado. I wore the first one every day for about 5 years. The battery leaked (my fault for not replacing it) and damaged the movement, hands, and face. It would have cost me $350 to fix. (A word of advise, replace the battery every 2 years, even if the watch is still running). From the first to the last day, I was routinely asked about my watch. People, even those who are fashion-challenged, recognize the black face with the dot at 12. I saw the Juro in Amazon and could no believe the price. I ordered it, and it arrived within 3 days. I like the size, bracelet, and face. Not too big, not little, not too dressy, not too casual, it is just right. With Movado, you make a statement. The watch comes with all the original packaging, and manual. It is an original Movado. Since Amazon is not an authorize dealer, the factory warranty of 2 years is voided. However, Amazon warranties the watch for 2 years with a similar coverage to the manufacturers. Beautiful but a little faulty  On: 2008-03-26First off, this is a very beautiful timepiece, even more so than the picture. It is relatively thin and, for the time that I have had it (appx 2 weeks) the actual time seems very accurate and doesnt really drift. The reason that I gave this product 3 stars is due to the invisible clasp mechanism. It looks beautiful and makes the band look flawless but the locking isnt all that great. When I first got it, both ends would snap in fine for a great seal. After about a week, I noticed that either clasp would lock when placed first but, when the second clasp is pressed in, it doesnt snap in anymore. This is due to any minor misalignment that is causing the components to rub against one another when they are trying to make that invisible clasp and only one, not both, would snap into place. This caused the clasp that was not snapped in to come loose and have the watch dangle under normal wearing circumstances, sometimes spontaneously. I have returned the product and ordered another in the hope that I received a fluke... again its a beautiful watch and I hope that my example is the exception as opposed to the norm. Great value, beautiful watch, read fine print On: 2008-03-08Im a 51 year old man and bought this for myself. Its beautiful and as a previous reviewer said it can be worn dressed up or with jeans. The face is not pretentiously large as many watches tend to be these days. I searched everywhere online and in stores and Amazon had by far the lowest price. Remember you will probably need to have it resized. I am 510" with average size wrists and I noticed when I got it resized at a jewelry shop ($15) they only took out two small links. So if you have very large wrists this band may be too small to begin with. Also Amazon is NOT an authorized Movado seller so you will get the 2 year Amazon guarantee which does not cover the band or crystal, just the inner workings against manufacturer defects. A nice watch for the price and so far Im very satisified. Cant beat the price. Great Value! On: 2008-02-26I own a few Movado watches and this is a great looking versatile everyday watch and Amazon has the best prices available. I would suggest that you be mechanically capable of making watch band adjustments as with all better quality watches it may need to be fit to your wrist. Superb On: 2008-01-07What a deal and what a watch. It turned out to be a wonderful Christmas gift to give! Perfect! On: 2008-01-06This watch is absolutely perfect! $339 is the best price anywhere. The free shipping worked out well (took 6 days). The watch arrived and it was packaged as new. All the plastic was on the watch, books included, etc. The sticker on the back indicates the battery should be changed in 2013 (which is 5 years from now), which proves that this watch hasnt been sitting around in a warehouse. The Amazon experience was exceptional. The watch looks so good, so exclusive for this price. I get compliments on this watch every day. Most Movado retailers are selling this watch for around $600. A WATCH FOR AN SPECIAL OCCASION  On: 2007-11-10This is the third watch I get from Amazon, and I would like make this review from 3 points. First the watch itself, is exactly what I wish, an elegant timepiece just for special occasions, as some one wrote the dial does not have seconds hand or date, because is for those moment you do not care much about the time and maybe you will want it was for ever. This black Museum Dial is just beautyfull! Second I want talk about the price, the suggested retail price for this watch is US$ 795,oo, and the stores in the web sold it between $ 377,oo and $ 550,oo. My price at Amazon was $ 344,oo shipping included! Third, I ordered the watch on September 25 and for October 2 it arrived in excellent condition, this is very good for me. I think the best accesories for an elegant gentlemen, not wearing jeans, are the wedding ring and a beautyfull watch. Vicente. On: 2007-09-03Something about this watch just caught my eye when I saw it, and even after receiving it, I still cant quite pinpoint it. Regardless, the watch is simply beautiful, and feels great on your wrist. I was a little worried originally about being able to easily read it, but I found myself able to adapt very quickly. So long as you have a general idea of what time it should be, then reading the watch is very easy despite having only a single divet. Movado watches are usually very classy, so it is no surprise that the Juros simplistic design is both elegant, fitting in perfectly with a job situation, and practical: the watch dresses down easily when you pair it with "dressy" casual wear (think "Banana Republic dress shirt, untucked, worn over jeans") for going out. It keeps accurate time and is both thin and lightweight (for those of you who dont like watches that weigh 5 lbs). This watch looks far better in person than what the picture shows, and looks even better on your wrist! This is a fantastic price on Amazon - most places sell for almost twice that much, and free shipping cant be beat. No sales tax is an added bonus, and the additional 5-year warranty is just cream on top. I love it!!! On: 2007-06-08It is very nice. It is so comftorable that i forget that I am wearing it, and scratch it up. It is very nice though, the scratches are not noticable unless you look very closely. It was a perfect fit for me, just a little bit loose which is how I like them. Funny story.. When I opened the package the first night I only opened one of the clasp.. so I could not fit my hand in.. So I was trying to squeeze it in later trying to save myself from ordering extra links.. and while doing it I unlocked the other which made me very happy that it actually fit fine.. Beautiful Watch On: 2007-06-08This is a very beautiful watch, I constantly look at it throughout the day and always keep it clean. It is brilliant in its simplicity. I guess if you need to know the exact minute when someone asks you the time, then this isnt the watch for you. But if you have to tell someone its 3:17 and not just round to 3:15 well then you have some problems of your own. Overall, keeps good time, comfortable on the wrist and looks great. What more do you want from a watch? Nice watch but... On: 2007-05-02I bought this watch as a bday gift for my boyfriend last month. He liked it and has been wearing it since then however we noticed that it easily get scratches on the links. Wedding Gift On: 2007-04-27My wife got this watch for me as a gift on our wedding day. I took it to a local jewelry store which sells Tag, Rolex, etc., and they checked the battery and said it was fine, so there is something wrong with the watch. Even though it was a greatly discounted price, it was still an expensive watch that I expected to last for a long time. It replaced a 6 year old ESQ watch (with Movado guts and slim profile, just cheaper) which is banged up but still runs like a champ. I like simple stuff and dont like gaudy jewelry. This watch is industrial and classy with a light, slim and comfortable profile. Add in a killer price and this is one great investment. So treat yourself, or your favorite guy to one of these - youll/hell be very happy! He loved it. Movado On: 2007-01-10This is a great watch to start a Movado Collection. My boyfriend really wanted a Movado and I knew it would be an expensive gift. However, I found this one on Amazon and felt that the price was pretty fair considering its a Movado. Needless to say, he loved the watch.
