On: 2005-12-16The Timex Reefgear iControl Analog Watch is a great product. Timexs patented iControl system for setting date/time/alarms is quick, easy and accurate. By rotating the bezel you can set alarms. When you pull the bottom crown (at 4:00 position) out once, you set alarm to go off every 12 hours (useful for morning wake-up alarm). By pulling same crown out a second time, you can set alarm to go off every hour (useful for reminders). Ill set my "hourly" alarm to go off in 5 minutes to remind me when to flip steaks when Im grilling. Ill also use it to remind me to call someone back in 20 minutes, etc. To review more detail about iControl, cut and paste the following Timex web link into the address bar of your web browser: [...] This watch also has a "quick date" feature which allows you to change the day of the month (shown on the watch face) by pulling the top crown (at 3:00 position) out once. This action is useful for correcting date on those months that have less than 31 days and it doesnt stop the watch timekeeping function. The watch minute and hour hands have a glow-in-the-dark coating, which I dont use because of the excellent built-in Indiglo feature. Indiglo lights up the watch face when the top crown is pushed in. Last but not least, this watch has a casual/sporty/technical styling that I like (and the price was right, too). This is my second Timex watch with iControl and I would strongly consider buying another one in the future. The first, which I have worn every day for over 6 years, still works fine. |
