 Omega Men's Speedmaster Watch #3523.80.00 By: Omega Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Don't waste your money  On: 2008-03-24I purchased one of these Speedmasters in 2000 for my son. [Omega caliber 1151 which is actually and ETA caliber 7751] -- Omega does not make this caliber, just the case and the pitiful bracelet. I was given the same watch in 2003 as a gift! What luck! The bracelet-- the pins literally fall out of the bracelet within two weeks of ownership on BOTH watches, all I could do was laugh the second time. I recently had the bracelet on the 1st watch repaired again, new pins, for the last ones that finally fell out, and the clasp. The clasp has been repaired countless times. My sons speedmaster has always been slow, and continues to be slow even after Omega in New Jersey has had the watch two times in a 4 year period. Last year I sent it to Omega in New Jersey for the 3rd time, they quoted me just under $1000 which included replacing the face, so of course I had a local Chicago shop do it for $320. It still runs slow, but better than 20 secound/day that it had ran slow after a year after the last time Omega had it. The 2nd watch is 12 seconds slow / day after about a year of use, I dont wear it much and dont want to pay Omega another time to fix these cheap watches. Meanwhile I have a Rolex GMT II that I bought new in 1984. This is the watch that I have warn 90% of the time since the day it was new. A superb watch and bracelet. Bottom line- pay for a Rolex or another choice, but dont buy this Omega junk from a Swatch group company that cant repair their stuff, make their own movements nor put quality in, from day one. my perfect first speedmaster  On: 2007-07-08Omega Mens Speedmaster Watch #3523.80.00 The only problem was with my french bank; but Amazon give me the best information to resolve!The delivery was in time! This watch is very beautiful and i love the sound of the rotor and the vibration i can feel on my wrist! I love automatic watches and i thank Amazon for the perfect progress of this purchase ! At time this one is on my wrist night and day and im a happy customer! Thanks for all! First Omega On: 2007-06-18I am a watch collector and I purchased this watch as a graduation gift for my son. In the end, it was down to this one or a similar Brietling. I own many fine watches, but I have to say I was very impressed with the overall quality of the Omega. It keeps nearly perfect time (within 3 seconds a day) and my son loves it. I understand there is an updated version of this model that has a blue bezel rather than the steel - I preferred the older version. It is just the right size and weight and seems rugged enough to withstand my sons very active lifestyle. Beautiful, almost Perfect  On: 2007-06-13This is an absolutely beautiful watch, has great timekeeping, and is weighted nicely on your wrist. I traded a Tag New Link Chrono for this watch, and after a year, Im really glad I did. There are some quirks which should be noted: At the bottom of the dial, it appears as if there is a slight flaw(like a scratch) on it. If you dont wear it for a few days, and the watch needs setting, get a toothpick to set the day(Ive been told this so the case isnt scratched), also the crown is VERY hard to pull out. Set the day and date a day before the actual date, and roll the minutes around to the proper date. All this takes about 3 minutes. Excellent Watch On: 2006-07-17I am a watch collector and this is my first Omega. This watch is truly magnificent. I really like the blue dial and the watch is actually much more beautiful than shown in the picture. I saw this watch at the local watch dealer before I purchased it. If you dont want to spend a little less, get the Omega 3513.30. They both look the same, but 3513 is not available in blue dial and doesnt have day-date functionality This watch is very comfortable to wear and doesnt feel as heavy as it seems.
