On: 2007-05-01never got around to reviewing my Omega, so i though id drop some words about it...first off i always wanted an omega...i got one last summer i have the seamaster 40th anniversary james bond model (love the markings on the inside of the watch) .. this watch is high quality and very durable..has a good weight it keeps great time(swiss made) ..its a nice large size so it really stands out..a class act. perfect for nights on the town, or casual wear.i always get comments on it from my coworkers i have a few pulsars,movados,a seiko, and a few timex but my omega is my favorite..bottom line, if you can get one treat yourself. Excellent Watch On: 2007-03-22Ive had this watch for almost a year now and it has been an excellent watch. I looked at Rolexes and Tags, but this one seemed to beat them all with its style and looks. The bracelet is the most comfortable that Ive had in a watch, and Ive owned many of them. I am constantly getting complements from others on the watch. Omega makes an excellent product, and I highly recommend this watch. Great Watch On: 2007-01-26I have owned this watch for several months and have very much enjoyed it. It is a very nice looking watch. It is very solidly built - much better than a similar Rolex. The clasp did scratch too easily. However, the rest of the band and the watch are not at all scratched after daily use. A very nice watch and value. My watch was stolen  On: 2007-01-10I havent the watch omega, because it was stolen. Amazon refunded me, but Im not satisfied with this situation, I had hope for a long time to buy a Omega watch. This is the Best Watch I've Ever Owned On: 2007-01-09I bought this quartz Omega as a temporary substitute until I could save up to replace a sold Rolex Submariner, but little did I know, 18 months later I have never even considered looking into buying another watch because this watch is virtually flawless. Obviously because this is a quartz you never have to doubt that you are within just a few seconds of the actual time, and I especially love how the first crown position allows you to adjust just the hour hand so you can quickly adjust for different time zones and daylight savings time in an instant. Advancing the date for certain months can take a several turns of the crown, but at least you dont have to do it that often. Beyond that, this watch is the MOST comfortable and best-looking watch Ive ever worn. Its sleek case, bracelet, and clasp allow sleeves to slip effortlessly over your watch and it does not feel bulky or unbalanced in the slightest. The push-button clasp doesnt allow for fine adjustments like in almost all deployment clasps, but the clasp feels much more solid than any other watch with a typical deployment clasp. Luckily for me though this watch fits perfectly on my wrist despite this. The dial has this wave effect that looks awesome in certain light conditions and the skeleton hands are nicely done, but what I especially love is how the domed crystal makes the watch look so cool from a distance. There are a few flaws I can think of. The date does not instantly change at midnight like with many automatic movements so if you absolutely must know the date between about 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. then you might be confused for a second, but you can easily figure this out. Other than that, the luminous markers could use some work I think. It looks lazy in my opinion. The lumanova, furthermore, while brighter than tritium, or so they say, seems brighter only for a short period of time and then looks very dull for many hours afterward. I hear this watch is prone to scratches, but i dont think this watch attracts any more scratches than your normal watch. I think that people say this because compared to a certain diving watch which preceded the Seamaster in all the Bond movies, this seems true as the other Bond watch uses steel 3 times more expensive. Other than that, i hear the bezel is more form than function, but I never use the bezel anyway (nor do I use the helium escape valve). Bottom line is that this watch is not a great watch for its price, its a GREAT watch PERIOD. Omega Seamaster On: 2007-01-09I am pleased with the watch and imagine it will last for many years. However, with the specific unit provided there appears to be a slight malfunction. When I need to adjust the date, the hour hand is engaged. Amazon is not responsible for repairs and I imagine a jeweler would need to be consulted. However, it is a problem I noticed when I wanted to adjust the date at the end of November. If you could respond within a reasonable period of time, I would appre3ciate the effort. The ability of the watch to keep exact time is impressive and I value a watch that keeps perfect time. Omega Men's Seamaster Watch WOW!!! What a deal! On: 2006-11-13This has to be the best value in watches on Amazon. Alright, already! Yes you are spending over $1000 for a watch, but what you get is an excellent value! I have this model and the 2531.80 and I find myself liking this one more! Both are extremely accurate, but to me this is a better overall watch for the $400 difference in price. Only you will know that you have the Quartz model over the self winding model. Some are concerned over purchasing from Amazon over an authorized Omega Jeweler. Amazons 5 year warranty should make up for those concerns, plus according to Omega, authorized dealers and Omega service has been instructed to provide assistance and service to any OMEGA owner with a warranty card from the original box. I have lots of watches from Rolex to Timex and this watch is my hands down favorite! More FIVE Star ratings !!! On: 2006-06-15Consider them all between one and three thousand dollars price range (and theres an awful lot to select from), then come back to the reviews on this watch and the conculsion will be that this is one of the best deals avaiable for a true upscale watch. Worthy of a 6 star rating !!! Incredible solid handsome watch On: 2006-06-03I have owned this watch for two months- It is a beautiful well built timepiece that has inspired me to buy a speedmaster also from omega. It is always complimented and simply looks fantastic. Very heavy and solid. Truly one of the nicest watches in my collection and no one can touch the price offered here. Beautiful Timepiece On: 2006-05-24I have owned this watch for about 6 months and I love it. It feels solid, keeps great time and looks great on the wrist. I considered both Tag Heuer and Rolex, but am very glad to have chosen Omega. An absolute star... with a forgiveable afinity for scratches! On: 2006-03-09This is gonna be a short one. The watch is beautiful and strikes a fine ballance of elegance or sportyness, and the fact that it is the exact watch James Bond used in Goldeneye definitely adds to the cool factor. The only thing that should be mentioned is that it has a peculiar affinity for scratches. After 3 days of normal wear... and I am VERY careful with my stuff, the cufflink and hatch was already quite scratched. I guess it is because the link is made of brushed steel. It is ok though, it adds patena that you can see the personal wear of the watch. All in all, I love it more and more for each day! |
