It feels and looks almost like wearing a hockey puck on your wrist. Movement are the same as Rolex and Omega (no kidding), but the case are totally American design. Its bulky, heavy and absolutely bulletproof. I mean, in 5 years I own this watch, there is no single scratch on a case or crystal ("glass"). And I use it mostly for hiking and climbing, so I hit rocks all the time! The bracelet is another story. Chase-Durer claims that its made of the same steel as the case; apparently, they are wrong. So far, I have a single, barely visible, scratch on the crown; but bracelet looks like cr#p after 5 years of abuse. It looks like I used all grits of sandpaper on it. Its worn to death. So keep in mind, youll need to replace the bracelet occasionally. And dont buy this watch unless you like aesthetics of the hockey puck (G-Shocks, etc). Overall, it looks and feels like a very expensive watch! (I own a few Omegas and Longines, but receive most comments on this one!). |
