 Kenneth Cole Reaction Men's Watch #KC1296 By: Kenneth Cole Average Rating: 3.5 Total Reviews: 11 More Information Stylish; no-frills watch  On: 2008-01-13My girlfriend bought me this watch as a gift six months ago, and its been great so far. Its definitely form over function, and lacks any extras. That said, people tend to compliment me on it. The face could be a little more scratch-resistant- I try to take care of my watches, and this one doesnt look quite new anymore. As for the reviews complaining of the lack of backlight.. its annoying, but hardly insurmountable. The screen is extremely reflective, and even in darkened theatres, Ive been able to see the time by turning my wrist until it catches whatever light may be floating around. Havent had any problems with the band popping out, but if I have to reseat the screws, Ill use a little bit of Thread Locker on them. review On: 2007-12-12This watch is very modern and sleek. Fits snuggly and have not had any problems with the band as of yet. However, i do not wear it daily and only with certain clothing selection. I have gotten many compliments on it. Bad:Minimal features for this watch. Worst: No back lighting. this is the only draw back for this watch. Which should not happen in a watch made in todays age. the watch stops working, but comes back when u push a button..  On: 2007-08-28same problem as 1 star rater harry... it does look cool, but every now and then the watch stops working and nothing appears on the display. i have to push the date button to bring it back and have to reset the time again and again. HOWEVER, MY problem started pretty soon, about 2 weeks (not 5 weeks like harry..) after i got the watch. Cool Watch, with only 1 flaw On: 2007-08-10If you want a cool and modern watch, this should be your choice. Light in weight, confortable, but it does have 1 flaw... It does not have a light. If you are in a dark place (movies, street at night, etc.) thats it, you cant see the time, its just like wearing a wide piece of leather on your wrist, so, you better have a backup like your cellphone. It has a leather band and digital sistem and it works perfectly. The only downside on this is that you cant see it on dark, althou thats not a problem to me at all. Superb design, mediocre quality  On: 2007-07-19As with all Kenneth Cole watches I purchased so far, this goes for this one, too. The design, Danish-like and the exterior finish are typical for Kenneth Cole watches. Most inconvenient things are not having the option the put the watch in 24h (European) mode, and the accuracy of the watch (2-minute deviation per fortnignt). Bad experience On: 2007-06-08it does look cool, but every now and then the watch stops working and nothing appears on the display. i have to push the date button to bring it back and have to reset the time again and again. problem started pretty soon, about 5 weeks after i got the watch. probably just my bad luck, but its definitely not a pleasant experience... Awesome Watch On: 2006-12-30I love this watch. Just wearing it makes you feel cool, hip, and stylish. The people who saw it all liked it too. Definitely glad I got it. AVOID!!!! As others have commented, this is a very nice looking, thin watch with a very broad leather band. The face is readable only with considerable ambient light. It is difficult to read in night street lighting, for example. The date button is recessed and very difficult to engage without pushing a finger nail into it. Its slim, mono, digital, minimal design is an eye catcher. The digital screen is very clear except for in the dark, since there is no light or glowing back screen. The watch has a leather band, is very comfortable and light-weight. Yes it does show second and date with the side button. Everybody that noticed this watch think it is cool. I dont even have to say much about it. What not to like: The leather waist band is screwed to the base and pop out after a year. To fix this, I got an eye-glass screw and seem to retighten it every couple of months. Also, since the watch is minimal there arent too many features. I would rate this cool no frill watch 4.5 stars. Slim Kenneth Cole Dress Watch On: 2006-03-24I purchased the watch on Amazon and was very pleased with the fast proccessing and great product. I was drawn to the watch because of its sharp design and modern elegant look. I was conserned wearable comfortable and a fasionable style. For me, it met both of those requirments and I have received many compliments on the watch since aquiring it. :) |
