![]() Casio - LTP1254D1A (Size: women) By: Casio Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information The most durable Databank Watch Having used Casio Databank watches for many years, I know them well. The weakness with just about all of them is their lack water resistance. Though some models are "splash proof," they arent. Nothings worse than having your DB loaded up with lots of numbers and important info and it gets ruined with in-case condensation. After several cycles of taking the back off of my last DB-150 and trying to rescue it (and having it happen all over again) I just gave up on the databank lifestyle. But I missed it greatly and was sorely bummed. That is until I found this model. The DBC329A IS water resistant. Three months in, Ive worn it in many showers and some baths so far to test it (and heavy rain) and so far so good. Be advised though what it isnt though: its databank memory pages are limited (just 25), it lacks a countdown timer, and the ability to cycle through world time zones. But I dont miss those features too much and am just glad to get back a calculator and enough DB pages to keep the important numbers. Moreover this model has several interesting and well-designed features youll like: * You can set five individual alarms, date-specified if desired, which is pretty cool. * You can set the light to come on when the watch tilts over 45 degrees if you want and has a long lasting battery. I find this feature somewhat intermittent and dont use it so as to preserve battery power, but it is there. * The band is the best Ive seen on a DB too: sturdy and durable Casio. * Casio got smart on this one and didnt place the light actuation on the face of the watch. I have avoid watches with this as the button wears out as I reach in my pilot case constantly and it unnecessarily wears out the battery with unneeded actuation. The DBC329As light is just right: standard upper right button actuation and doesnt over illuminate to save battery. * Finally the gold background is one usually only found on overseas Casio models and is very attractive. Numerals are large and readable. So in summary, at just $22 this watch is a STEAL. Get five, no kidding. Theyll probably stop making this model soon and well be stuck with the non-WR models again. nice and dependable so far, so good....unfortunately, the auto-light function doesnt really seem to work...other than that, it serves its purpose. |
