![]() Luminox - 715 (Size: men) By: Luminox Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Disappointing The watch is handsome enough, but there are some significant problems: 1, Its bigger than it looks, and that includes a very thick resin band. 2, The strap is the least adjustable in creation. Once adjusted, it can never be re-adjusted. 3, This watch is clearly designed for big wrists. The strap is now too tight for me, even though I have 2-3 mm of space between the sides of my wrist and the strap! How has that happened? The strap does not bend enough and so will not hug my wrist. 4, The strap fastening is painful, even when properly adjusted, with sharp metal corners to dig in to your wrist. 5, The first one was DOA. I had the battery changed and it was still dead. 6, The tritium does not glow very brightly. Its bright enough to see, but it is exactly as bright as the Luminox I got 8 years ago. FYI, tritium loses half its brightness every 12 years or so. 7, The glass protrudes above the top of the metal frame and will therefore scratch relatively easily (it is NOT a sapphire crystal, although for this price it probably should be). So, in summary, the watch is reasonably attractive but ultimately overpriced and hard to adjust. That having been said, it is one of the few watches that will clamp reliably and firmly to my wrist, and I can just about wear it for the whole day. |
