I purchased several Skagen watches for my father and wife. I finally broke down and purchased one for myself and I am very pleased, it is very stylish and thin on my wrist. I was also pleased with the Amazon price which was 40% below the local retail store pricing. Its a great watch. Good purchase On: 2008-05-12I think (for the price) is a real fancy watch, with the use I will know the quality of the machine and materials. It looks better than in the picture, that was a nice surprise. Im happy with this purchase. Id recommend it to all. Slim, elegant, ideal for business wear.  On: 2008-04-05Ive bought two of these watches - one black, one the natural gray of titanium. I like them because they are very thin with a very simple, elegant dial. The bracelet is both elegant and comfortable. For business wear they are ideal. Ive had them for about three months and they keep good time - a few seconds a week is all I have to adjust them. The gray one is a little hard to read - not much contrast between the hands and the dial. The date is hard to read on both - the numeral is very small but then I suppose that once youve looked at it once you know what date it is and you dont need to look again until the next day. But for a reasonable price you get a watch that looks great. excellent product On: 2008-04-01all that is said of this item is true and exeded my expectations. Stylish watch. Slim, Light, Classy On: 2008-02-24I bought this watch because it is very thin, attractive, and well priced. I have large wrists and wanted a watch that my shirt sleeve would easily slip over, unlike the thick Casio watch I have been wearing. It is very comfortable to wear and easy to read, although the date numerals are a bit small. The only negative is that it takes a bit to put on and clasp the band. Id guess that is a trade off so that the band does not add a lot of bulk. Cool Watch On: 2008-01-18I bought this watch for my dad (who has small wrists). The packing and shipping were very thorough. Its an expensive looking watch (without having to pay the top dollars). Even my picky husband liked it a lot. I would recommend this watch to anyone. Skagen Wristwatch On: 2008-01-08Great purchase. I enjoy the slim profile and the black on black (face/band) is sharp. The wrist band is easy to adjust. Very sharp product. Great watch for small wrists On: 2007-11-07This is the second Skagen watch Ive owned. I have a rather small wrist, and I like metal bands since I live in the U.S. Southwest - leather bands just do not last long and theyre hot. The band is easy to adjust, and I gotten some nice remarks from strangers abut the watch. Love it! Qaulity Watch On: 2007-09-21Comfortable high quality watch. Would highly recommend. Only down side to the watch is the day of the month is small and hard to read, especially in reduced lighting conditions. Skagen Titanium Watch On: 2007-09-14the watch is great. Really thin like I wanted. Im just disappointed that Amazon sent 2 watches and charged me for both when I only orderd 1 Im working on my refund now, well see how that goes Attractive watch - very satisfied with purchase On: 2007-09-14I bought my watch in February, 2007 and have been pleased with it ever since. The thin profile and shiny black finish provide an appearance that is both sporty and sophisticated. No problems with the watch. Great value for the price. Fitting the strap just right took a couple adjustments. But once that was done, the watch fits perfectly every time I close the clasp. My only (minor) complaint is that the date window and numbers are a touch too small, making the date hard to read in less than bright light. I liked this watch so much that a couple of months ago I bought the same watch in the blue dial / brushed titanium finish, #233XLTTN. I highly recommend that watch as well. Great Looking watch  On: 2007-09-08A good combination of dressy and sport watch. Very confortable and light. The clasp on the band is not dependable. Needs to be redesigned because it often fails and opens. Classy and light On: 2007-08-24I really like the light weight of this and other Skagen watches. This one is noticably more classly than most people wear now. It is easily read. My only problem has been that twice the bank pins have come out. I may need to check with Skagen but Ill keep the watch. I like it. Disappointing  On: 2007-07-10The watch is thing, and nice. But here are the problems: Glass breaks easily, and company wont repair. Band while very strong loses the color quickly, and has problem with the closing mechanism. The Day display is very tiny and if you have trouble reading tiny print w/o reading glasses then you will probably not be able to read it. The Day number is basically 1 through 31, and has no clue as to which month it is. So you have to change it often. Now each time you wish to change it, say you want to go from 31 to 30 then you have to turn the clock dials completely 60 time!!! Disappointing On: 2007-07-09The watch is thing, and nice. Rip off Britain On: 2007-05-28I was attracted to this watch from an advert in an airline magazine, checked it out when I returned to the UK and it would cost £120 ($230), however I purchased it from the Amazon US website for less than $90 and had it shipped to my sister in law in the States and then ownward to me. Very prompt dispatch from Amazon. Delivery costs are minimal.So a very good deal. The watch itself is super! - slim, light and, in my opinion elegent. Strap mechanism takes a little getting used to but no big deal. Would thoroughy recommend it. John Chapman Amazing piece @ amazing price On: 2007-05-04I got this watch from the Skagen counter in a departmental store and it cost me more than US$140 to get it. When I found out that Amazon is only having it at such an amazing price, I almost couldnt believe my eyes. But well, I used gift vouchers for it so I couldnt care less. Nevertheless, this Skagen watch is exceptionally light weight. My hubby was too pleased for words. The good thing was that the strap was adjustable so it really doesnt matter if you grow a few sizes bigger or smaller. One more thing was the actual watch really do looks nicer than in the picture (not that it wasnt pretty in the picture). Really shinning black. Further, the band, although made of metal, is very comfortable and doesnt pull wrist and arm hair. It is a classy looking watch that fits well with casual or dress attire. Great Watch, black wears off quickly on buckle On: 2007-04-06I bought this watch because it is a simple, thin, light, and comfortable. All of these are true, with one caveat- the black color on the buckle of the titanium band wore off within one day of wearing it. So I now have a mostly cool looking watch that has a slightly discolored band. Im a little dissapointed in that, but overall Im happy with this watch. I love this watch On: 2007-04-03Sleek, elegant, and easy to wear - Ive gotten a lot of compliments on this watch! I also have the silver color - these are now the only watches I wear. Reasonable Price, Excellent Watch On: 2007-03-29Have owned this watch now for over six months and it has not disappointed. Have gotten several compliments on it, it keeps excellent time, and it is versatile - can wear it with work or casual clothes. The price through Amazon was considerably lower than any price I saw for it in retail stores. All around, an excellent buy. Not 100% titanium On: 2007-03-27Bought this one in a tax free flight magazine (EU 95). PLeased with it so far except for one thing: It is supposed to be titanium and hypo allergenic. The looks of this watch is great though. Pure class. Looks 10 times better than most watches 10 x this price. But the clasp is made of stainless steel, NOT titanium. So if you are ultra sensitive to metals, pass this one up. I have notified Skagen of this, and if they make changes or rectify, I will follow up. On: 2006-09-09Being somewhat picky and not much of a watch enthusiast, I did a bit of research to try and find a nice looking watch that ultimately didnt at all feel like I was wearing a watch. I visited several Jewelers as well as a handful of watch shops when I stumbled accross this Skagen watch. I was immediately struck by the beauty of the black titanium as well as how thin the watch and band were. A little more research lead to my recent purchase of this beautiful watch. So far Im in love with it! The luminous hands and numbers leave a little to be desired as they need to be exposed to a bright light before being visible in the dark (and if you have a bright light, why would you even need luminous hands?). Regardless, the bright numbers and hands are fairly easy to see even in low light due to the way they catch the available light on their own. This watch is sleek, light weight and comfortable. Im a very satisfied customer. |
