![]() Tag Heuer Indy 500 Mens Watch CAC111B.BA0850 By: TAG Heuer Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 8 More Information The Ultimate Casual Sport Watch I have spent years accumulating nice watches. (Though I refuse to buy a Rolex - unless I hit the lotto) I have the following: OMEGA SEAMASTER MENS 300M WATCH (2221.80.00), TAG HEUER AQUARACER MENS WATCH (WAF1120.BB0807), TAG HEUER AQUARACER AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH MENS WATCH (CAF2110.BA0809) Invictas, Seikos (Dives, Chrono, dress), Citizen (caliber) and a few the wife bought. Most costing between $1500 and $3500. Each time I have really loved the purchase but the best deal is this one. Only this one has provoked strangers in conversation gasping as to how nice this watch is. Unbelievable value !!! Perfect combination of style and substance This is an awesome watch. It has the right amount of bling to make an impression but never goes over the line of good taste. The functions work exactly as they are supposed to. The bracelet is very comfortable and is lightly brushed giving it an elegant appearance. I intended to spend a lot more than this much on a watch to replace a 7 year old Cartier. But when I looked around no quartz from Omega or Breitling really did it for me. Other Tags are nice - like the Link Chrono and black face Aquaracer - but this one hits the mark better for me personally. Many watch afficianados dislike quartz but I cant live with a watch that loses 15 minutes every 6 months. And some will say Tag is more about marketing (Tiger Woods, etc.) than excellent timekeeping. Thats OK with me. This piece has the great looks and finish a quality timepiece should. And the only time I have to reset it is when I change timezones or for daylight savings time. Classy Yet Rugged My wife bought this watch for me for my b-day. Needless to say I was suprised. I have always wanted a Tag since they are classy yet rugged and practical. This watch is a classic Tag with the elegant look and very sturdy feel. I wear mine every day and have had no problems with it in the 6 months that I have had it. I wear it mountain biking, scuba diving, working on the car, mowing the grass... It has the wet suit expansion clasp on the bracelet so you can dive with it (very important feature for me). Some would say that taking it to a certified Tag dealer to get it worked on is a pain (I had to get a link removed from the bracelet) but I took mine to Jared and they did it right there. The post about the $100 battery change is true but would you want to scuba dive with a $995 watch that wasnt sealed? I have a Seiko divers watch that I had the battery replaced at one of these mall places and then went diving. Well after the dive I noticed that there was water in my watch because they didnt replace the gaskets that "Waterproof" dive watches. I would rather pay $100 and avoid this altogether. I have gotten many compliments on my watch and feel very lucky to be able to show it off :) If you are on the fence about purchasing this watch PULL THE TRIGGER and buy it!!! You wont be disappointed. I still look down and say, "I have a Tag". Beautiful Quality eh. I love Tag watches and own another, I got this one as a graduation gift Id say 2 years ago, I wear it almost every day, however first the battery died in like 6 months of getting it, which they said was average for this watch, however to get the battery replaced on a Tag you have to send it to them they fix it then send it back, a bit of a hassle, My second problem is the paint on the outside where the numbers are is starting to peel off leaving half the numbers black and half silver which is rather unsightly. And within the last two days another problem has emerged the Chronometers dont line up to where they should be and I dont mean slightly its like 3 seconds off which looks funny. The watch is really pretty though and this summer during summer break I waited tables and when people would see it they would comment to how pretty it was, so it is a gorgeous watch just Ive had a few problems with it. 5 stars for design I had to get it when i saw it. However, mine has a few problems. 1st, the second hand of the chrono (the longest red needle) wasnt aligned exactly at 12. Ive already sent it for servicing and its better now but still not precise enough. Anyway,2nd,that same hand is a tad loose. Its not due to the servicing cos i noticed it even b4 sending it for service.3rd,which is actually partly my own fault, the black numbers of the tachometer on the case that surrounds the face can come off! I didnt scrap it out.I just put it in a jewellery cleaner that uses the vibration of water to loosen fine particles and the black paint of 1 of the numbers came off! Thats why i only gave it a 3-star rating. Aesthetically,i cant find another watch looking as good as this at this price. Keeps fantastic time...battery change expensive Love my Tag Indy 500...only loses a few seconds every 6 months. Mine needed a new battery after 20 months. When I took it to a store that sells and services them, they told me to change the battery, they have to change the gaskets too and it would cost $100. I called Tag Heuer and they told me only Tags Service Center is authorized to change the battery and they refused to tell me how much until I shipped it to them. They werent too concerned about my dilemma. By some stroke of luck, they told me that I could send it back under the 2 year warranty and they would change the battery at no charge. That worked this time...but now every 2 years, it will cost me $100 plus shipping and insurance to change the battery. Awesome! I bought this watch just a short time ago and I am really impressed by its quality and precision. I believe evrybody who does the same will spend hours just playing with the cronograph and wondered by the nice purchase they did. I could spend a lot of time(counted by my Indy 500) telling about the watch, but the best way to see how amazed I am is just buying one of them. It will be one of the most rewarding actions of your life! Awesome! I bought this watch just a short time ago and I am really impressed by its quality and precision. I have been out of the counrty to tax and duty free places and still have not found a price within $80 of this one. The watch is beautiful and is a great piece to own if you are a fan of Tag Heuer or racing. I prefer it to the normal F1 watches because it has a classier look to it, some of the normal F1s lose a lot with the black plastic all over the face. If you are looking for an expensive, classy, Limited Edition watch at a cheap price, this is your best bet. I have had mine for over a month and a half and have had no problems! With an amazing watch like this, who needs a ROLEX? I was always skeptical about purchasing sub-$1k watches, however this model from Tag Heuer is worth every cent and I honestly would have expected such quality and features from a watch 3x its price! Its got a Large polished face with black dial and everything flows really well with this watch. I definitely reccomend the Polished Face and stainless band. There is a previous model which has a Black Face and it looks rather cheap. Amazon had the best price I could find and my other Tag Heuer has been sitting in its case since I love my new watch more even though it was 1/6th the price. If you have any doubts, get rid of them because this IS the best watch I have seen looks/quality wise for the money! Amazing This watch is amazing, it glitters, shines, everything you could want from a watch worth $1,000 retail. It is true about this watch being a limited edition with only 2500 or so units made. I dont know the age range that this watch is marketed for, but Im 20yrs old, and I can assure anyone looking at this watch whose shaky about shelling out the extra money, you wont regret it. Luxury sports watch All through my life Ive always wanted to have a Tag. Before I bought it online I went to the mall to try it on and see how it fits my wrist. I have a bigger than normal wrist and most of the watches I try tend to look small. I wanted to absolutely make sure that the dial size is big enough. The Indy 500 is a special addition watch from Tag. It looks a little bigger than the formula 1 series. Although it is a couple of hundred more than formula series it is worth it. The sales representative in the mall said that they made only 2600 of these and are not making anymore once they sell these out. I do not know if every bit of what they say is true but this sure is a collectors watch. Any person will love to have this on his wrist. This is certainly the best watch Ive ever had. BEAUTIFUL WATCH!! I bought this for my husband for our 33rd anniversary. He loved it. Origionally I purchased the "Formula One". Although it was a nice watch, it just appeared a little too sporty. I sent it back and purchased the "Indy 500" instead. Although still sporty, it has an air of class. The stainless bezel and the white irridescent chronographs really stand out on the black background. The racing rings on the face also set it apart from the "Formula One". It is a couple of hundred dollars more, but you do get what you pay for. It is a very easy watch to set. Even I could do it. The info booklet was a breeze to follow. All in all, if you want an upper-end sports watch, with a little bit of class and pizzaz, you just cant beat this TAG. Oh, and EVERYBODY tells my husband what a great looking watch he has. I would think that almost any man would love to wear this watch. By the way, it came with two warranty cards. One from TAG, and the other from the seller. Hope this was helpful to you!!
