 Invicta Abyss Mens Watch 2686 By: Invicta Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Invicta Does it Right  On: 2008-03-06I have purchased over 50 watches in the last 6 months. Many are from Invicta. I prefer the large case size and Invicta has some of the nicest large case watches. The mother-of-pearl dial is amazing. Not only is it nice to watch in the bright sunlight, but when I am relaxing in a chair at night, just watching the TV, the colors still change and look great in the lower light. The luminous markers are very bright and not overdone. The bracelet is heavy and not cheap feeling. Another Invicta Pro-Diver I own has a lower quality bracelet that does not LOOK cheap, but it feels cheap. When you move your arm around you can hear the noises a cheaply made bracelet makes. This watch does not make those noises. The 44mm case is just over the new mens standard size. It is perfect for me. I have a 7 inch wrist and this bracelet was easy to size myself. Although this is one of the smallest cases I own, I love it. The exhibition case back is a nice touch that allows you to admire the automatic movement. The only negative comment I have about the watch is the metal bar that runs diagonally across the caseback crystall. The watch is heavy and the imprint of the metal bar pushes down into my skin. On one hand, it is annoying. On the other hand, this is a dive watch and the metal bar creates a divers logo on the skin. For this price, you can not go wrong. Invicta brand, 5 year warranty, automatic movement, mother-of-pearl dial, medium sized case, and quality bracelet all make this a watch you should own. Invicta Abyss 2686  On: 2006-11-10I found this watch to be of a good quality. It is definatley worth the money I paid for it. It is very attractive with the MOP face. I would recommend removing the small bracket behind the watch as - another purchaser noted - because the watch is a lot more comfortable to wear without it. One thing I noticed is that I actually have to wear or wind the watch evey two days or so to keep it working. The winder I bought doesnt seem to do the job for this watch. I have the same exact watch winder for a different watch and dont ever have to wind that watch. Overall it is a very good deal for the money. I recommend it. Invicta is a quality product. Good watch for the money! On: 2005-10-13First I want to say the case-back bothered me too but its easy to do away with the cross bar, just remove the 2 screws holding it down. Doing so makes this watch much more comfortable to wear. The screw holes do NOT enter the case so no need to worry. With the bar removed its just your basic exhibition window to view the MIYOTA Automatic works. The glow is OK but Im spoiled with better watches. For every day use its flashy looking and keeps very good time. Not as happy as I'd like to be !  On: 2005-09-20I dont care for the case back, it has a 90 degree edge rather then a rounded one, not as comfortable on your rist, I would not buy another one for this reason. Men's Invicta Abyss Divers Watch Model #2686 On: 2005-08-30Given the poor pictures on Amazons site and sketchy details, I was somewhat unsure of this piece before it arrived. The vendor sent an email notice stating the particulars but listed differing characteristics from what I ordered. When I emailed the vendor (address was included in their notice) they were extremely prompt and reassuring that it was their mistake and that the particular style I ordered was in fact the item that was sent. Delivery was very fast and properly packaged to ensure integrity of the piece. The piece itself is even more beautiful than I imagined. The weight of this watch is solid, without being uncomfortable. The case is highly polished as are the center links of the three tier stainless steel band. The outside links are brushed stainless steel offsetting the high polish on the center links. The crown is solid and forgiving for the clumsy. The manufacturers box was very nice. Enclosed was an upgradeable warranty card offering to extend the basic 1-yr warranty to 5-years for a nominal fee which I intend to do. The instruction booklet needs a complete overhaul in my opinion, and it needs to be model specific. The one included with this piece was confusing as it was meant to cover the aspects of 6 different models. Overall, Im most pleased with my purchase and I receive many, many comments on my sophisticated time piece! How many watches do you see with a face made from a solid piece of mother-of-pearl???
