 Movado Men's Valor Watch #0604682 By: Movado Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 4 More Information 4 years old and still perfect  On: 2008-06-10I got this watch for my 2nd anniversary four years ago and wear it all the time. Formal, casual, it goes with any thing and I still get comments on it all the time. The tungsten material is IMPOSSIBLE to scratch. I would definately buy another Movado. Movado Valor watch On: 2008-05-01Absolutely beautiful watch with clean uncluttered lines and would go perfectly with either jeans or formal attire! Very impressive without being ostentatious and undeniably one of my favorite watches to wear. Movado On: 2007-06-10I am very satisfied with the product, the fact that Amazon shipped it to an FPO address is great, one thing that Im not sure about is that the product did not come with the traditional Movado card, unsure if its no longer issued with purchase or because I purchased it on line? The watch is beautiful. Movado Men's Valor Watch On: 2005-09-06A stunningly beautiful dress watch. This bracelet watch made with Tungsten Carbide adds a very masculine weight and feel to the thin faced design of the watch itself. This was a 30th anniversary gift to me that adds an air of elegance to my wardrobe. ( It also has kept perfect time ) Perhaps the last watch you will ever buy. On: 2005-08-17THE PRICE: $1,895.00 for a watch?!!! Luckily I was fortunate enough to get my Movado Valor watch at HALF PRICE. It was the display model at a local jewelry store. Since this watch is constructed of Tungsten Carbide steel, it looked fresh out of the wrapper new even though countless prospective buyers had tried it on and it had been placed in and out of the display case for months. Movado claims this watch rates a "7" (out of 10) for scratch resistance...not proofness (if that word exists) there is a HUGE difference. I have noticed hairline scratches in the band since I have worn it, but the carbide steel actually hides them and unless very closely examined, you cant see these minute scratches. THE WEIGHT: This watch is HEAVY! When you put it on, you are FULLY aware you are wearing a watch. Tungsten Carbide is 3 times as heavy as stainless steel. I will probably get used to it, but I actually dont mind the weight, the band and case are designed so perfectly that the entire watch melts around your wrist. THE LOOK: PERFECT! I am a big fan of highly polished steel. This goes above and beyond. The bluish tint of the mirror polished Tungsten Carbide steel is beautiful. The watch and band are very slim (about 3/8") and the case and band are seamless in width so it looks like a thick shiny band of steel on your wrist that moves with your wrist effortlessly. The face of the watch is the simple elegant look Movado is known for except the face of this watch is smaller than the usual round faced models, so the trademark concave dot is replaced with a small silver dot. The hands, the usual highly polished style. THE VERDICT: If you shy away from talking to strangers, I strongly suggest you not buy this watch! I am asked at least once a day about this watch. The very shiny band draws a lot of attention. This watch (although pricey) was designed with three factors in mind. Precision, Durability, and Attractiveness. Movado certainly achieved that goal. A beautiful timepiece (that will stay beautiful thanks to Tungsten Carbide steel) that will last a long, long time. |
