I have to say I was quite satisfied with the product, though it is a bit large and the hands dont really glow in the dark. Overall, it looks nice. The information on this page is wrong. There are 21 Jewel, not 12... and the movement Japanese Citizen Miyota, not quartz. Bulova Men's Automatic Watch #96C23 On: 2005-07-09Appreciate this automatic. First, it houses a Miyota 8205/21 Jewel day/date movement. You can search the Net regarding the reliability and specs of this and other Miyota movements. The very useful day/date display can be set for English or Spanish. Its 100M (330 Ft.) water resistant, with mineral crystal front/back. The case size measures approx. 42mm L X 37mm D X 12mm H. The bracelet is a very manly, solid stainless steel brushed/polished link. The gorgeous blue dial has that sunray pattern that just reminds me of the older, more classic watches. The indices are all hand-applied, and are all luminous. There is a 5-second chapter ring as well. The box is felt-lined, and includes a handsome pillow cushion on which to rest the watch. And the attention to detail continues, even down to the Bulova logo placed on the crown, and the buckle. The buckle is the push-button deployant style. For the money, its pretty terrific. self winding watch for spoiled people On: 2005-04-24My friend, occasional drinking partner, former AT&T Wireless employee, current Cingular Wireless employee, David Bates, just acquired (purchased not stolen) this watch. He is spoiled. However, I am impressed with the classy, not overly complex or overly simplistic face. The glow in the dark hands and numerals add a nice contrast to the metallic blue back of the watch. You dont see watches with the day of the week very often. On many occasions I have seen Davids garbage overflowing because he missed the Wednesday pickup. Hopefully this watch will ameliorate that problem. Overall, a great watch for the price. |
