![]() Pulsar Men's Alarm Chronograph Watch #PBK002 By: Pulsar Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 9 More Information Double your time with this watch Hey, Seiko used to make this watch, but I have not seen one of those in over 15 years now, so I have bought 2 of these over the years. I like the double time zone features on the digital portion of the watch along with the stop watch feature. I love having both a digital watch and the old fashioned hand watch with a sweep second hand. Makes it easy for me to tell time with a quick glance. When I travel it makes a great watch for the nightstand as the hands glow in the dark and it has an alarm feature. I have had two of these for over 10 years and have never replaced a band and they both keep acurate time all the time. Defective Watch I had the watch 2 weeks and it reset itself to 1/1/01 three times. No idea why it did this. Sent it back. Why are they even still available GOOD: Bought watch Feb 1 2007 BAD: First watch showed up dead - not working. Battery? GOOD: Amazon replaced next day BAD: Second watch showed up dead- not working. Battery? GOOD: Worked fine when I had the battery replaced.(+$10 out of pocket) BAD: First time in the shower, filled with water GOOD: Amazon sent another watch the next day BAD: was the same exact watch, I had returned first time still not working GOOD: Amazon agreed to refund money when they recieve the watches BAD: April 10th still waiting for refund I had a very similar watch from pulsar that I bought in 1991 - that watch lasted over 15 years with no problems. the LCD stopped working so I finally broke down and bought a new watch. I was shocked and disappointed with amazon sending me 3 dead watches - esp after talking to them asbout making sure it just works before sending it. the final watch was the exact same watch I returned for NOT working. Flashy-but stops I am pleased with the watch. It is flashy and keeps good time. However, I am still trying to figure out why it stops from time to time. I think I inadvertantly push a button that stops it. It is a small annoyance but has happened 4-5 times in the last month. Flashy-but stops I am pleased with the watch. I like the watch, it fits well and Im able to swim in the pool and ocean with it. But I cant find a place to repair it here on Maui. It has a 3 year warranty but Id have to mail it in. After the battery is changed it needs to be pressure tested. What a hassle... Died after 1 year This watch died (battery?) one year after I bought it. This one I am returning to Amazon because it cant keep time and the calender keeps resetting to Jan 1. It was made in China so what can I expect. I am deeply disappointed in this product. No more Pulsars for me Great Deal Looks like a very expensive watch at only a fraction of the cost. Very classy looking and has all the features of the cheaper appearing watches such as a timer an alarm. Gold and silver contrast each other without looking tacky and the blue face is subtle. Definitely a great bargain. nice looking watch, digital window too small Ive been through generations of digital watches with plastic bands. My wife thinks they look nerdy but I like the alarm and other gadgets. Im tired of wearing these things out though and wanted something that looked nicer. This is a very nice looking, sturdy watch which was what I wanted. It also has the window with the digital time, date, alarm, etc. My only complaint is that that window is tiny and not easy to see. Also the light for night viewing is wimpy. The watch works fine and is very nice looking but I wish the window were a bit larger. One year later the digital window keeps setting it self back to Jan 1 and 12:00 noon. Poor quality. Look elsewhere Excellent watch, excellent price This is the second of these watches that I have owned. Im tough on watches and I had the crystal replaced on my first one but it leaked and moister got inside - still runs fine, just tough to see. The flat crystal on this watch could be just a hair more recessed and then there would be little chance of chipping it on the edge. This watch has an LCD that supports an alarm, its own time separate from the dial, stop watch, and date. This combo is getting more difficult to find but is ideal for traveling and keeping the dial on home time and the LCD on local time (so alarm goes off relative to local time). To find this in a Seiko or similar watch you will spend north of $100 and more like $200. Getting this watch for $70 with free shipping was a no brainer. I paid $110+tax or so for the first one five or six years ago in a department store. |
