 Relic Men's Dress - Silver Rectangle By: Relic Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Better than the price would lead you to believe  On: 2007-01-22I had been craving this watch for sometime and was reasonably disappointed when its placement on my holiday wish list did not lead to it under my tree. Undaunted, I took matters into my own hands and waited for it to go on sale (for $38.50) and pounced. The watch is heavy, but not cumbersomely so, and feels nice. It is brass, not stainless steel, which allows it to be a little less expensive to manufacture and purchase. I have 2 other relic watches, and, as the typically less expensive corporate cousin of similar fossil watches, I have never been disappointed. They actually come with a 12 year warranty, an additional year-up on their pricier kin. The snap on the band is unimpressive and it pinched me the first time I put it on, enough so to cause just a spot of blood, but I reevaluated the manner in which I clasp it (difficult to do by yourself) and I have avoided subsequent altercations with the band. Aside from that, the watch is very much what I expected, fashionable, reliable, accurate, and an overall great value. I am something of a watch aficionado, with over 10 watches in my current collection, ranging from the low end relics on up through Movado style time pieces and this fits nicely in as a daily use watch, though stylish enough to suit semi-formal occasions. |
