Hamilton is a solid American watch brand. They have been making watches for decades with a certain, classic style. Since I travel a lot and cross time zones, I usually wear a cheap Timex with a second dial so I can keep track of time at home. For a watch guy, wearing a cheap watch every day is a sad state of affairs - especially when hitting the road. I found this watch at a big name NYC watch store (think 57th street) and fell in like (not love). It was affordable, good looking, waterproof, mechanical and had a second time zone feature. It wasnt until I put it on that I decided to buy it. It is very comfortable on the wrist. The face is clear and easy to read with my myopia. The dial has glow-in-the-dark hands and minute indicators. It keeps great time - off about a second a day. Quite amazing for a mechanical watch in this price range. My watch has the rubber strap (good choice for a dive watch) and its very comfortable and smart looking.
Its a big watch and kind of heavy - both hot now - and I like it more every day.
I think I will focus on Hamilton for a while - there are some great looking watches in their line.
