I am very active, and have put it through its paces. The sapphire crystal is as flawless today as it was out of the box. The stainless bracelet has loosened a bit, but is as strong as ever. I have had the battery replaced 3 times, first at the fancy jeweler for $35.00 and a seven day turn around, and the last two at my local jeweler for $10.00 and a 10 minute wait. Couldnt be happier; My oldest boy graduates from college in the fall, and I am thinking of purchasing one for him. Long term expenses  On: 2006-12-31Nice watch, however, it will cost you 100.00 each time a battery needs replaced. I had to have my time piece replaced after 10 yrs, and they did take up some of the cost, costing yet another 100.00. The real shocker was that the watch band will streach and break in 10 years with constant use, and to replace it..... get ready.... it $700.00. This is a nice watch and if you do not mind spending 1500 to 1700 for a 10 year watch (just like any seiko)I would go for it!!!! But if you want something to keep and maybe give to someone when you are done, this is not it unless you are ready to spend another 700. And who is to say that you will even be able to get a band in another couple years. tag 6000 On: 2005-12-21i bought my tag 6000 in 1994 and to this day Dec 21, 2005, I am pleased with its performance - it has served as a formal and casual timepiece and I continue to wear it Diving or while playing sports. this is a well made Tag, good enough to be passed on eventually... |
