Each time it goes for repair, it takes at least 4 weeks to come back. Ive heard that T-Touch is way too sensitive, hence easy to break down. Unfortunately its proven to be true for me. Im losing faith in Tissot, and Swiss watches in general. *sigh* International warranty Watch arrived in good condition but warranty card was not included in the box. This is my second item I purchase from Amazon.com and World Watch and will certainly buy again. Unreliable and appalling service I ordered this from Amazon in November 2004 as a Christmas Present. Initially it was very impressive BUT 1. The temperature gauge does not work if the watch is on your wrist 2. The altimeter has to be re-set every time you want a realistic reading It is a comfortable watch, and the T Touch mechanism is impressive in a geeky kind of way. My first major problem arrived when daylight saving time kicked in, the time mechanism refused to reset, and the T Touch defaulted to altimeter. So I now had a watch that was one hour incorrect, but did tell me how far above sea level I was. Two weeks later the dials on the watch started rotating randomly like a windmill, before finally dieing completely. I tried to contact Tissot direct, but could never get anyone to answer the phone. I therefore took the watch to a Tissot retailer, who advised the watch would take 4-6 weeks to repair. Six weeks later I returned to the retailer, only to find that Tissot had lost the guarentee, the original invoice, and were refusing to repair the watch until copy documentation was sent to them. They then proceeded to lose the copy documentation again, and it took FIVE MONTHS for the watch to be returned to me. Last Sunday daylight saving time kicked in again.......and guess what happened. Now I am back to square one, with a watch that is one hour ahead of the actual time, and is currently advising me I am 26 meters above sea level. Avoid like the plague compadres. |
