It was a gift, they are really happy with it. The only thing is to get the day of the week switched you have to keep turning it manually, it doesnt have its own setting like the date does. A great watch, great quality and highly elegant  On: 2008-01-23I am writing this report especially to comment on the first commentators words and provide this watch with my own set of stars! To make it brief: The watch is great! To comment on the remarks made above: It is strange how unqualified remarks such as these might can affect the impression of one of Skagens best watches so badly. Had the commentator spent only a minute to read the instruction manual he would have known that you can pull out the crown to several positions, allowing you to individually set the date, the day and the time. It is ridiculous to believe that any good brand would make you turn the hands of the clock up to 60 times as described. And the best are the screws allowing the watch to sit properly on your wrist. elegant watch at very reasonable price  On: 2007-12-27PROS: Very elagent, attractive. Includes second hand, 24 hr hand, day of the week and day of the month. Very light weight. Great price when compared to other watches in this class. Cons: Cant read time at night. Overall: Very nice watch for professionals at a great price. Not the best purchase if your looking for different kinds of functionality (ie no stop watch, light, alarms, etc.) 0 for 2  On: 2007-10-23I have purchased two of these watches over the last six months. I had the first watch for two months and then noticed a crack across the entire face. Although I dont recall doing anything to cause the crack, I decided to chalk it up to an accidental bump. I purchased the second watch six weeks ago and it was cracked within a week. This time, I am absolutely positive that I did nothing to cause the crack. I wore the watch to and from work (desk job), and did nothing strenous while wearing it. At this point, I dont want a repair or a replacement. This specific watch has been a huge disappointment after having had other Skagens that performed beautifully. Very nice On: 2007-09-27This is a thin, good-looking watch. Cons: Setting for the first time is a PAIN. There is no position (as indicated in the information in the above description) of the crown to set the date. You must rotate the hour hand and advance the date...up to 60 times, two rotations for each date! The leather band is held in by screws and is stiff. I needed something for work that wasnt flashy like a Breitling or gold Rolex, but clearly had class and style. Keeps time perfectly, the chronograph setup is legible and easy to use. Very happy especially at this price. everyday style On: 2007-01-10This is a great watch. Looks sleek and stylish can be worn everyday or out for the night. It is easy to set and keeps perfect time. I was actually referring to my most recent purchase last December 06, which was a ladies Skagen wristwatch. Sorry for the confusion. Thin, Attractive and Functional with a few minor issues On: 2006-10-10This is a very attractive watch with a stylish band and a good amount of functionality for a pure analog model. Like most Skagen watches Ive seen, this has a relatively thin case which is angled in on the back. The mineral crystal is rather difficult to damage and the watch does appear to be genuinely water resistant, although it might warp the band to submerge it for any length of time. Unfortunately the phosphoresecent inserts in the main hands are almost totally nonfunctional, either because they are too small to be bright enough or improperly formulated. Consequently the watch is unusable in the dark. The inset date dial only accomodates 31 day months of course, and the 24 hour dial would be unecessary if there were am/pm window, leaving room for a world time or stopwatch function. Outside of these few problems, its a fine watch with a classic look for a very reasonable price.
