 Skagen Men's Chronograph White Dial Watch and Brown Leather Watch #331LSL1 By: Skagen Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 13 More Information An excellent watch at a reasonable price  On: 2008-03-11I have been looking for a new business watch for the past few months, and specifically wanted a watch that was thinner than the sports-style watches I already own. I also wanted multi-dials and a leather strap, and this watch immediately caught my eye. I bought this watch about 2 months ago and have been completely happy with it. It has exactly the look I wanted, and its so light on my wrist that I sometimes forget Im wearing it. A few things to be aware of: 1. The watch may not be completely comfortable for someone with large wrists - the band does not move up and down where it attaches to the watch, so it doesnt lay flat. For a smaller wrist its a good fit. 2. Given the leather strap and in light of other things I have read on the subject I am careful to keep the watch away from water. Day-to-day is fine, but I wouldnt wear it swimming, sailing, in the shower etc. Common sense, but still a consideration. So if youre looking for a handsome, high-quality business-wear watch at a reasonable price you should definitely consider this watch or one of the similar Skagen designs. Beautiful but fits funny  On: 2008-02-08I love Skagen watches. This watch is no exception. Good construction, great quality of materials, and really nice leather in the band. It looks great and has a large face (for those of us over 40). The one gripe I have is that the design of the leather bands connection to the watch case does not allow the watch band to lay flat on my wrist. Maybe I have a larger, flatter wrist but this raises the watch off of my skin to the point that this watch fits better when it is sitting on the inside of my wrist - around the curve. This is NOT a fatal flaw, just an annoyance. Otherwise it is a great watch. Great watch. Poor waterproofing. On: 2008-01-11This is an excellent watch and Id buy one again. The only problem Ive had is that the face fogs up in the rain. I now keep it well away from water and it works perfectly well. Very nice watch On: 2007-11-13This is a very nice, light weight and slim watch. Only draw back is that the strap is a little too stiff. Great product, only small issues On: 2007-10-21The watch is everything that was advertised. The face is large, clear, easy to read. The band is more stiff than others due to the fasteners, but I didnt find it to be a problem or to be uncomfortable and I consider myself to have small wrists. The materials on the face are more silvery than steel in color and its luminescence is strong and even so both hands are clear. My only criticism is that the three ancillary dials for day of the week, date and 24 hour clock are too small to be seen in the dark and the date is still tough to see in daylight. Overall, great watch, happy to have purchased it. Try and set this thing  On: 2007-10-06You will spend a lot of TIME setting this watch..you can only advance in one direction taking hundreds of turns of the crown to get near where you need to be. NONSENSE. Just the right value for the money... On: 2007-02-04I got this watch about a week ago and its just fantastic. Can be worn on both formal and informal occassion. The brown leather strap goes very well with the silver-white metallic face. The leather is slightly darker than the one shown in the picture though. Also the leather is slightly more rigid than you would expect but was comfortable nevertheless. The only thing I wasnt happy with was setting time on this watch. It was a bit tough. But once you set the time, you dont have to think about it again. This is just the right value for the money. Very sleek and sophisticated at a low price On: 2007-01-30I bought this watch because I was tired of my stainless steel Citizen which heavy and looks very "common". I wanted a watch that expresses simplicity, elegance, and a sense of style at a low price. I shopped for a long time online and in stores and found the Skagen watches to be the best value. I am thrilled with this watch and challenge you to find anything else on the market that matches its quality at double this price ! Nice watch! On: 2007-01-10This is a beautiful watch. I bought it from Macys and realized that Amazon had a much lower price for the same thing. I have been using it for a few months, and have not had a problem. Its not too dressy, not too casual, and goes with anything you wear. Nice watch but...  On: 2006-08-17This is a fine watch but I noticed a few drawbacks: The date dial is so so tiny, you almost have to squint to see the date. Ive never been able to just take a quick look at the date and read the number without staring at it for a number of seconds. Secondly, for some reason it pinches the hair on my wrist fairly easily. On the positive end, very nice leather band and light weight with a very slim 6mm case thickness which is rarely found. Great watch; mediocre band On: 2006-05-07Ive had this watch now for 6 months. I got it as a Christmas gift and it keeps excellent time; it gains about 3-4 sec./month which is about as accurate you can expect in this price range. The design is simple and elegant, and its a great every day watch. The only downside is the band. While it does fit okay, what I dont like is its fixed design at the watch base. Instead of simple springs that attach the band to the watch like most watches, Skagen uses a metal reinforced insert in the band near the watch mount points that screws in the back of the case/ band. It makes the band not flex at all within a centimeter of the watch, which makes the fit on the wrist so-so. It doesnt flex with the contours of the wrist well. The strap is also rather stiff; some leather conditioner does help make it more flexible. Otherwise, its a good watch even with the strange band design. Great watch On: 2006-04-24Well made, nice looking watch. The band on mine was darker than in the photo, but it looks good. Very lightwieght as well. Stunning Classic Design On: 2005-12-11This Watch is amazing to look at and compare to any other watch. I have a Bulova M7 Tank(1967 w/Diamonds), Swiss Army S.S. Calvary White Face(1994) and a typical Timex Expedition(Great value and looks)for work, but none can compare to the looks and craftsmanship that went into this watch. The hands match with the markers perfectly, the band is perfect in every detail and the Watch itself with its Brushed Stainless Steel Case, White Face and Stainless Steel Markers with a Polished Stainless Steel Crown is Awesome to look at and see.
