On: 2006-03-08First, let it be said that Bulova makes great looking watches. They are well designed and well built timepieces that should last a long time. This particular piece caught my attention because it is one of the few digital/analog combinations that is not over the top. The watch is still stylish and eye catching without being in your face. I have always liked the dual digital/analog timepieces, so this is what I was looking for. Everything about the watch works nicely together. The numbers are big, the hands are easy to spot, and the digital display is just the right size to see at a glance. Some of the nicer features include: the analog hands and numbers are "luminous," which means it will glow-in-the-dark for a short time. They absorb the light so you can see it in the dark (it does fade away after awhile). The watch includes day/date, stopwatch and alarm, all in the digital display. As a nice feature, the watch also includes a digital light, which you can operate by pressing and holding a button so you can see that part in the dark as well. As a personal preference, I have never liked the steel-linked bands. I prefer leather bands. As a nice touch, the watchband is easily replaced with any other kind of band you prefer (not all watches can have their bands removed and replaced with a leather band.) I opted for a high quality leather band with white stitching. It actually looks better this way than with the standard silver steel-linked band. Overall, I am very happy with this watch. I like the way it looks and the way it operates. I especially like it more with the band of my choice, and I was glad it was so easy to change. I highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for something stylish, practical, easy to read and allows for some customization. Good job, Bulova! |
