On: 2005-11-18The Gevril Gv2 watch is a great buy. It looks great, isnt to heavy, its very easy to read due to the large numbers (they glow in the dark). There is limited amount of them. Only 500 were made which accounts for the original price. The packaging is that it comes in is quite impressive. A large wood glossy box. Very nice. The high polished steel band and outer watch face looks great. The sun gleams off of it like no other. The watch is some what thin compared to a Seiko Kinetic. The watch face is long so it takes up most of your wrist. Expect to have a few links taken out when you get the watch. You can get that done at any jeweler for a few bucks. The hidden double clasp band is great. It has two buttons you push on the side to release it which makes it quite secure. Now pay attention here! The watch does require WINDING. What this means to this watch is there are no batteries and you will have to wind it occasionally. Also, big word of warning. This is in the instructions that come with the watch. Do not get it wet when you have the winding pin pulled out this will allow water to get inside the watch much easier. Also, this limits the amount of water you want touching the watch in general. |
