I collect watches. I have bought and sold perhaps 200 watches in the past 15 years -- all brands and quality levels -- except Luminox. I thought I would check them out and purchased the PVD coated, stainless steel Model 3402 "Stealth". When I opened the box it was immediately apparent that the chapter ring was grossly misalighed with the face markings. The chapter ring is inner bezel where the luminous vials are placed. The action of the roating bezel is the WORST I have experienced -- much worse than the least expensive Seiko or Citizen watches I have owned. The bracelet clasp was inferior and curde.
What is MOST troubling is that Luminox somehow allowed this LEMON to leave its manufacturing facility. There obviously was no quality control during its assembly or at the end of the production line. NONE!
I returned the watch to the seller and wrote the Luminox repair center a terse e-mail.
BOTTON LINE: I wouldnt (again) waste my time witn another Luminox watch. There are too many other fine watch manufacturers who understand QUALITY CONTROL.
