The result is a painful contradiction that potential buyers must have felt since this model has gotten so discounted. Let me explain. On one hand, you have a heavy and thick timepiece (Hummer drivers?). On the other, you have a collection of exquisite ergonomic and visual features from the recent timepiece history: comma-shaped (curved) case --> easier to read and wear; curved shaped sapphire crystal -->easier to read, organic look; winding stem at 12 --> unobtrusive design; and linear dial design - the hours are lined up and down. So, the ergonomic qualities of the second set of features are contradicted by the weight, and the looks by the size, of this watch. Alas, its size and weight are not being redeemed by any complications - especially in the quartz movement style - so, they end up as costs without benefits. |
