 Tag Heuer 6000 Series Mens Watch WH1153.BD0678 By: TAG Heuer Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 2 More Information careful with the band  On: 2004-12-09Ive had one of these for 5 yrs. I bought a more expensive watch --gold highlights not goldplated because I thought I would have it for a while. The band first broke (the metal just wears away) about 2 years ago and eeked by under warranty. It just broke again the other day and the band costs $1600 (more than I paid for the watch). I guess Ill just stick a leather band on it and next time pay the extra and get a rolex. Dependable & stylish  On: 2004-08-15I bought my Tag eight years ago and have worn it for scuba diving, skiing, exercising, and eating at top French restaurants. Every two or three years I change the battery; otherwise it needs no attention and has performed flawlessly. The only annoying things with the watch are (i) the bezel is difficult to grip with wet fingers or dive gloves, and (ii) there is insufficient contrast between the dial face and the hands when youre underwater, which makes it difficult sometimes to read the time. These two limitations are a function of the fact it was designed more to be fashionable than functional - but it does function pretty well regardless. Many people (men and women) have commented over the years on how attractive the watch is. I wanted a watch that would be able to go wherever I went and be appropriate regardless of conditions. I also wanted something that wasnt too fussy. The Tag has served me well and I dont envisage replacing it anytime soon. |
