 Men's Timex Digital Expedition Chrono Alarm Timer Watch, 48042 By: Timex More Information Durable  On: 2008-04-05I really like this watch. I am not a fancy dancy person and this watch is perfect. I automatically look at the Month day and date display when ever I write a check. I agree with the others -- great watch On: 2007-08-23I have had this watch for years and have used the timer hundreds, if not thousands of times for everything from timed croquet matches to cooking thin spaghetti. Once you get the functions ingrained in your brain (theyre as simple as they can be) it takes only a few seconds to set a timer. Im surprised at how many things I use it for. What do you want in a watch? It should tell time accurately. Check. Easy to read. Check. Display the date. Check. Work in the dark. Check. Have other useful functions that dont clutter things up. Check. Band that isnt annoying to manipulate. Check. Comfortable. Check. Good looking. Check (IMHO). Long-lasting. Check. Waterproof. Check (I swim with it on). Audible alarm. Check. Three alarms! Check. Inexpensive. Check. Durable. Check. If you like the look and the features, just buy it. A great watch! On: 2007-07-08This is simply a great watch. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of the interface. For example, "+" and "-" buttons are provided when setting the time, timer, or alarms. Its accuracy is amazing, and Im a stickler for that. With three alarms, I can just set and forget a weekday and weekend alarm and still have one for special purposes. Its handling of two time zones is convenient. I set T2 for Zulu time, so when I go flying I just hold the upper right button for a few seconds and it switches to display that. (Push it briefly just to peek at the other time zone.) Although the "INDIGLO" button seems unnecessarily large, the light functions very well. Some other Timex watches have a different kind of "indiglo", which gives a reverse video effect that can be difficult to read in some dim-light conditions. Not this watch -- the light works well when you need it. Timex Expition Watch On: 2007-05-20This watch has a very loud alarm and slim design. The leather band breathes very well and does not pull hairs. I have always been satisfied with the quallity of Timex watches and this one is no different. On: 2007-02-13Just a great watch that has the basics. I use 2 of the 3 possible daily alarms and the timer for when Im cooking. This thing is very tough and has taken many skuffs while doing various outdoor activities. The styling is perfect for a Pacific Northwesterner such as myself. |
