An exceptional timepiece--if not VERY heavy...

All I can say is WOW! As an avid watch collector, I am relatively new to Chase Durer, but after seeing one on a friend and later at a jewelery store, I knew I just had to have one. The model I happen to own has an all white/black face and for the first few weeks, I have to admit that it took some getting used to the face before I could single in on the hands in order to tell the time. There is SO much built into this model, along with the checkerboard styling that to be 100% honest, it CAN be difficult to identify everything in order to be able to figure out almost anything. This HAS the potential to be a deal-breaker with some...but fortunately for me I figured it out without too much effort. Hopefully you will, too.

First off you can tell simply by handling it that it is a very solid and sturdy watch. This is without a doubt THE heaviest watch I have personally ever handled...and despite that it doesnt LOOK to be as all-out hefty as it is, and it certainly demands attention. Simply superb styling makes this a watch that I will enjoy for many years.

As I caution anyone before you spend a great deal of money on ANY timepiece, do your homework and dont buy based on what they look like simply by viewing a picture on-line. You really MUST see a model in person to get a real feel for what it looks like and how it will look on your wrist. One VERY important thing to factor into buying this particular model is the fact that it is like a miniature hand weight due to the sheer solid weight it carries. This is where checking out the watch IN PERSON can be the difference between making a smart choice and making a very expensive mistake. Do that and shop around, when it comes to quality and looks, this Chase-Durer can hold its own with virtually any model I have ever seen. An exceptional timepiece.

rugged, beautifully crafted watch with well-balanced heft. Impressive split-second function w/ 10th second dial. One of the nicest metal bracelettes Ive ever seen. Only downside: the hands can become hidden on the dial. The hands are plenty big, but I find it easy to lose sight of the among the other bright visuals.
